should, a lot of times they don't if they think it's a losing case or simply forgot. Also people tend to push for jury trials because they think they will sway the jury with emotional arguments and bottom line is, the one paying the lawyer ultimately makes the decision.

If ya ever find yourself facing criminal charges, theres one simple trick to manipulate the odds in your favor. I've seen a few people get off of serious charges this way

Jury Trial -
if circumstances are favorable to you or any of the witnesses seem like a shithead/easily manipulated. Like in the most recent case this guy was arguing with his friends friend all night, the guy jumped on the car after they tried to ditch him and they ended up crashing into a tree and the guy died on impact. He was charged with aggravated manslaughter and death by auto and got found not guilty of both.

Bench trial -
When the states evidence is pretty weak and nothing directly links you, especially in a crime that jurys usually tend to convict for (Murder, sexual assault, etc...) as the judge is much more understanding of the law and will scrutinize stuff like that.

I think a lot of people don't know they have the right to a bench trial and end up getting convicted

i think very few lawyers would take this case on appeal anyway, for one he probably doesn't have a dime to his name, two he's a horrible client, and three if the only thing they can appeal is that he was moved to different room for being disruptive its a very weak appeal and will most certainly be denied, while making yourself public enemy #1 lol

It's a bunch of people who only have 10 minute interactions with family members children. Mixed with a superiority complex that convinces them they could do way better. Not factoring in the mental toll it takes to raise something that never gives you a break. Anyone can raise a kid if they only have to contribute an hour a day. It's when you actually have to do the 24 hours a day stuff that you can actually start understanding how mentally draining it is. Half the people here would probably be locking the kid in a room with a tablet on day 2, just trying to get some air lol.

I've had my baby nieces stay with me for the weekend and it definitely is a ton of work. Exactly why i'm in no rush for kids of my own
