Ok so -
A) You believe that generational poverty exists for all races (makes sense) - *why* do you believe that means it affects all races equally?
B) Something countering a bad thing doesn't mean it *completely* erases it.. a bulletproof vest doesn't completely erase the danger of bullets
Because I've seen poor people of all races. I mean I guess I don't know that for a fact. I'm realizing this is a poor answer on my part.

Barely. Martin Luther King Jr. was campaigning for better pay and unionization as a way to defeat generational poverty and he got shot for it. There's still urban communities that have problems stemming from Redlining that caused poorer education and food deserts.
I don't know what redlining is.

Doesn't generational poverty exists no matter what color you are? I thought things like affirmative action were meant to counter this, at least if you're a minority.

Apparently I've got a pretty bad education and I'm white/Spanish. Don't know what a food desert is either.

Systemic oppression of Black people sorta started with a lack of rights and education in Antebellum south even for Freedmen and extends to Redlining new Northern black communities and banks not letting them get home loans for houses in the Suburbs. Which lead to generational poverty.

And then Nixon wanted to police the fuck outta them.
I have no doubt it started out this way but certainly we've come a long way since then?

Is there an educational video that makes it easy to understand? Like no over complicating things.

I'm struggling to understand for example a traffic stop where the law says you have to give somebody going 20 miles over the speed limit a ticket but the black person gets two tickets?

I looked back and read my post and I use voice to text a lot and realized my post didn't make sense for what I wanted to say so I edited it l. Go back and see if the edited version still gives that impression.

I guess I don't know because the definition of systematic oppression people give is usually pretty generic and broad? I just had the impression that systematic oppression was when people in positions of power abused their authority to oppress people of color not that the system itself was flawed (using the system to oppress).

Let's say I'm a cop.

I didn't but I just regretted reading it just now to give you the benefit of the doubt.

"So when demonstrators, activists and regular Black people refer to the police as racist, they are not complaining about the content held within the individual hearts of cops. They are not protesting the intent of each individual law enforcement agent or their feelings for Black people. They are talking about the system of policing, which, according to that little reference book, fits the exact definition of racism. The meaning, history or purpose does not change because the person performing the job has a different skin color. If Beyonc wore whiteface, she wouldnt automatically gain the ability to play the banjo and become Taylor Swift. A man who plants and harvests seeds is a farmer, even if he is wearing a tuxedo.

Farmers farm.

Singers sing.

Police perform racism"

Article is literally trying to say just by being a police officer you are racist and that's just stupid.

Heres another hot take, maybe even a lot of white/nonwhite murdering cops are just shit people too? Everything doesnt have to be racist. Its my opinion that its important to call out racism when it rears its head but when you call everything racist you create a "boy who cried wolf" syndrome. Its working against the destruction of racism by minimizing it.

Im just venting but it feels like there's so many unwritten rules around social interactions that most other people just understand, and im going to make the wrong choices and fuck it up and look weird. I like the idea of having friends, but ive avoided opportunities for social interaction much of my adult life because of these fears. The few times I have put myself out there (going to extracurricular clubs in college, etc.) I just feel really scared/uncomfortable and don't make any progress
As someone with autism, social interaction has been tough for me. You can't learn if you're expecting to do everything perfect. So not trying at all is going to get you nowhere. Something that's also helped me studying social interactions like you would an exam. They've got some great videos about body language, mannerisms, etc on charisma on command on YouTube.

Big Bioshock fan here, I've even played System Shock 2, where it gets its inspiration.

While BioShock infinite is the worst of the series it's far from a bad game especially comparing it to the regular AAA trash we get.

Yes the story isn't that great but I didn't find it offensively bad (though I didn't meticulously pull it apart either). The gameplay is the bigger culprit here.

The biggest downfall of the game is the gun gameplay, if this alone had been fixed the game would have been way better. The biggest issue of the gun stems from the two gun limit. Which was a popular format for modern military FPS games. This was bound to piss people off since its prequels had no limit on gun inventory.

The second sin here is the the guns were boring. They were very basic standard FPS guns with no interesting mechanics or fantasy feel to them. We used to get flaming shotgun buck, chem sprayers, laser beams, etc.

People tend to also complain about the vigors the game's replacement for plasmids but I think this is not exactly the best criticism. While yes there was a lot less diversity and crazy powers, the powers we did get had some interesting synergies.

You could use the bull vigor to close the distance and go for great shotgun kills. You could use the bubble vigor to make enemies float in the sky for easy rifle kills. Possession could be a fun choice if you picked out a powerful enemy. I remember the most powerful combination in the game was using the kraken vigor to use water tentacles to pull a bunch of enemies in and then electrocute them with a different plasmid for an instant kill.

Also the world's while not as amazing as the dark depths of rapture, the skyrails made for a great mobility option. Hopping on and off rails while firing and using gorilla tactics was the only way to beat 1999 mode other than turtleing behind cover. I think hard mode was the optimal choice.
