Where I live running away from a cop isn't illegal. (Though I believe ignoring a stop/pullover sign from police is considered a traffic violation.)

Likewise: escaping from prison is not illegal here either. The idea behind it is that every human has the natural urge to be free, and punishment isn't going to stop that.

Of course any violence or vandalism used during the escape attempt can be punishable by law. And in reality a prison escape is difficult to pull off without breaking other laws.

I'm talking about just physically running. You aren't putting the public in danger with that.

If you're talking things like high speed pursuits? Reckless driving and endangerment are already crimes.

Making a cops job harder should not be a crime.

I remember a case in Oregon. Guy was suspected of a crime which he was later cleared of. Confronted by plainclothes officers, and the guy understandably resisted since he didn't know they were cops. They dropped the initial charges but hit him with resisting arrest charges because he struck an officer in self defense.

Running shouldn't be a crime. Fighting them always is. Take away the easily abused resisting arrest and have them make specific charges for actions that actually endanger people.

I agree with this, and I'll take this a step further:

Escaping from prison or jail should not be a crime.

Go the Germany route: any crime committed in the escape, such as assault or vandalism, is still charged, but if you somehow get an opportunity to just walk out of a prison unopposed, that's just human nature and should be the fault of the prison or jail. If you're caught after, you're just brought back to finish your sentence.

I feel like 4/1 Sandman was 'balanced' but only in the sense that his board impact was very low while having a very high game impact regardless. Spending a turn 4 to gain 1 power but hamstring the next two turns was a pretty solid play if you ran a ramp deck.

Giving him 5 power made the benefit way too big. Costing 5 is barely even a limiter in an Electro deck. When you run Electro, a card that costs 4 and a card that cost 5 are basically identical in terms of flow.

The stats don't show that though. Sandman at the time was pretty much unplayed and had an atrocious winrate even in favorable metas. On top of that, the only ramp that really worked with him at the time was Psylocke - playing him with Electro was crippling yourself because then you were dedicating one third of your possible plays to 1 power.

Reiterating, I don't really think he's OP, but he's annoying.

He was deliberately underpowered though. 5/5 is bad stats, but not unplayable. He was weak in exchange for the ability. At 5/3 he's even worse than the 4/1 he was before.

Sandman wasn't a problem he was just good because the meta is about low cost cards. I hope that buffs not real otherwise he's even worse than before his much needed buff

I thought Black Adam was OK, but there's really no point in even watching it. The post credit scene was awesome in the moment, but now that they're wiping all that away, it doesn't matter in the slightest.

A movies value is completely independent from other movies unless it's explicitly part of a series. This is such a dumb complaint when there are tons and tons of great superhero stories with no sequel.

Black Adam had funny moments, but yeah it was a mess of a movie. They could've used this movie to build him as sympathetic villain. A lot of people liked Killmonger from Black Panther, and sympathized with his motivations. Build Adam as vicious protector, a survivor of enslavement, who believes piece is only attainable through domination. Adam honestly could've been a major player like Thanos was to the MCU. But the Rock just had to be a hero.

You would've been better off comparing him to Namor given how similar they are in both power level and intent. "Leave my people alone or I fuck you up".

Give Adam to a competent actor and he might be good.

Why not? It's a horrifying setpiece to cap off Ozy's speech. How the movie did it wasn't bad visually, seeing the devastating attacks unfold in detail. But it can't match the comic reveal - Ozy drops the bomb and it's pages and pages of death and destruction already done in horrific detail.

Plus story wise, having it be Ozy always bugged me. The whole point was for it to be an outside attack on all of humanity to unite everyone. Ozy had spent years being an enforcer for the US. He wasn't neutral, and that would ruin the plan, even if the US got hit too.

Nah, Watchmen was the perfect thing for Snyder who has an amazing sense of visual presentation but shouldn't be let near a script. Thus how every change made was for the worse but he did thr adaptation justice when he stuck to it.

It's extra frustrating because I fucking got over what should be the hurdle, getting diagnosed and an initial prescription. They won't release records because they want me to pay for appointments i missed because I had severe memory trouble after they screwed up my prescription repeatedly. So I have to start over.

I had a psychiatrist. I got diagnosed. I got a prescription. It was great, until the psychiatrist I was using kept fucking up my prescription, leading to other problems and me leaving them.

Methylphenidate made such a massive difference in my life and it kills me that for no good reason I can't get it through any legal method.

Random dude. Literally did nothing wrong, he ordered a normal product and was sent the new boxes by mistake. The most WOTC can do legally is go after the distributor.
