I like Roof Santa because thinking about his role in the plot leads to so many weird questions. It's super obvious that the whole thing was a set-up, but why did they want Scott Calvin to become Santa? And who exactly is the "they" there? What happened to Roof Santa afterwards? He waves to Scott, so clearly he wasn't dead. What was the point of this whole elaborate ruse? And if you take the sewuels into account, there are even crazier questions to ponder.

I don't think the ads mention a gay character though. Like, if you haven't seen Strange World and hate it for that then you're probably way into online "anti-woke" stuff to begin with.

In addition to two seasons, Crunchyroll has five Code Geass movies, but a quick google search says the first three are inferior recap versions and only the last movie (which I guess is split into two) is worth watching.

Technically, the movies are an alternate continuity. The "recap" movies have some small changes that are important to the "sequel" movie but contradict the TV series.

Yeah, Strange World's failure had nothing at all to do with its middling quality and complete lack of advertising. It's just people refusing to watch it because there's a gay character.
