The fact that the Melee community keeps trying its hardest to accommodate and accept Leffen when he's an objectively terrible human being makes me not want to associate myself with them, and Melee is one of my favorite games. It's also hard to watch a lot of top player and tournament content when many of these players and commentators go out of their way to refer to him in a positive light

I just got Chrom and Inkling in Elite too. I'm playing way too much lmao

And yeah pojr I do try to always be ready to tech lol. You demonstrated ability to up air rest so I definitely didn't wanna get hit by sing

I may be back later, ggs. Your Puff is a lot better pojr. You beat my Roy a couple times and he's the next character I want to get in Elite. You should definitely be able to get Puff in there.

Also I wouldn't use sing unless you get a jab lock or a knock down on a platform. It's the best jab lock follow up in the game but it's not good for much else

I noticed you side b way too much, pound isn't that great a move tbh. And you don't dair enough, dair is probably her best move. Also I don't think you up tilt at all

Lol don't forget to airdodge up as Puff to ledge, it's like a 7th jump

Yeah Belmonts are one of the characters that would be put in f-throw tier on a Puff match up chart. Puff doesn't have much ability to get in but knock Ritcher off stage and it should be a stock 90% of the time. You can kinda camp the edge with nair as they're trying to recover

I wasn't aware of YikYak before this thread, it only lets you view conversations within a 5 mile radius? Is it specifically designed for college dormitories or something

Didn't end up going to the tourney, it was supposed to thunderstorm and my girlfriend and I didn't wanna get caught up in that

Youre Falcon is pretty excellent, and if I can say anything between our dittos for advice to you is, I dont think you use the up tilt at edge enough.

Yeah you're right about that. I didn't think about it but I should have gone for the confirms into up tilt from nair 1 and up air. The raw up tilt is good sometimes too but I'd rather combo into it

Ggs. I honestly wanted to keep going but I had to go lol. I think we're pretty much evenly matched. We were definitely more concerned with getting the flashy kills than winning. I got a bunch of clips

And it's totally set and feel dependent. I've had sets where I get two and three stocked game 1 yet still win the set. If you can quickly identify what went wrong or what you could do better, imo you should probably stick it out with Falcon. In my mind, counter picking is really used for either tempo switches, certain match ups or desperation. None of those are bad things, my point is that usually sticking with your best character is the better option imo.

Yeah. And that's totally fair, maybe I'll try it only if I can't figure out what went wrong.

Yeah I hadn't thought about it until now, but you haven't used puff in a while. What made you quit? You were much better than me lol, and you were staying to learn dair loops. But sometimes we lose interest. I just started using Yoshi again after months of not.

I think it's because a lot of the new stuff I was learning about that game just didn't apply to Puff. Puff plays a lot differently than most of the cast and not being able to apply that new knowledge made her less interesting to me.

Now if I fight against an insane Min Min in bracket and Falcon couldn't get it done, would I counterpick to her? Probably.

I remember saying that lol. Yeah not anymore. It's funny because I basically completely dropped the character soon after that.

Going to a tournament tomorrow, any thoughts on counterpicking to Wario if I lose game 1 badly with Falcon? I've been feeling my Wario recently but he definitely isn't as good as my Falcon. At the same time he is a better character and if I'm getting 2 or 3 stocked I'm probably not winning with Falcon anyway.

I don't know what you mean about the other ones feeling like fanfiction, but what you said is no excuse for the bender versus non-bender conflict having no resolution.

Nah, every time anyone bothers to mention Kenshin, this pops up, just like in this topic, everyone who knows about the show knows about the creator.

I love Rurouni Kenshin and I've never heard of this, not like I have any reason to discuss it most of the time. It was just a manga I loved and haven't read in nearly 15 years. Sad to learn of it.
