The silver lining, however small it may be, is that this is bringing together organizations and countries that only a couple weeks ago probably wouldn't even pick up the phone for each other. You have countries being stonewalled by turkey in their NATO application sending teams of rescuers. Checkpoints between Syria and turkey have opened up so that aid workers from rebel held areas can come into the country to support. Israel is sending their rescue teams. Crashlands - a top-down crafting survival game with 3 biomes and bosses (and a story) Bloons TD6 - the best tower defense game on mobile and it can run in offline mode BH Monday - a small free bullet hell game if you're a fan of the genre Crossy Road - frogger but with a chicken NEO Scavenger - a proper rogue(like) game on mobile. | s0nicfan 02/03/23 2:19:50 PM #26 | [LFAQs-redacted-quote] While it's tough to tell how hard it would have been with the secret mechanic known PRIOR to all the other nerfs, I still think 11 is just fundamentally a more punishing game and those world superbosses required the same kind of gearing and coordination as an XIV ultimate, but spread out over a much longer period of time. The fact that these bosses require coordinating on 2 hour cooldowns across multiple groups and hot-swapping people in and out of the fight while managing aggro and everything else is just crazy to me. It'd be like if Alexander Ultimate wasn't an 8 man fight, but a 24 man raid that took multiple hours to beat. Like... IIRC there was also some other robot superboss in 11 (IIRC it was the one that Omega was modeled after) that was similarly difficult to Absolute Virtue. Virtue might have had a broken mechanic, but the other superbosses weren't very far behind. Plus you need to factor in that a wipe in an XIV ultimate is no big deal, especially compared to XI's death penalty. A wipe against a superboss in XI is the kind of thing that leads to ruined friendships, disbanded guilds, and cancelled subs. So if Turtle Rock said something like they would be supporting this game for years to come, then it's perfectly valid to call them out for killing the game early. Especially if features they promised to implement, such as couch co-op, we're never actually added to the game. Ultimately, the complaint around live service games and the complaint around those games being shut down is the same root: players want their games to be finished at launch and to get all of the features they were promised in their purchase. As soon as I saw how big the battle passes were, how many unlocks were in them, and how unbelievably grindy the game was to advance in stages I dropped it and never looked back.
