Sega has had its high and low points over the years, but perhaps the most challenging moment in its history was the company's exit from the console market in 2001. Despite this uphill battle at the time, it still managed to pump out several amazing games, and even some new franchises that captured the hearts of Sega fans around the world.

One new IP, in particular, around the early 2000s was Billy Hatcher and the Giant Egg - starting out life in 2003 as a GameCube exclusive. The 3D platformer was led by director Shun Nakamura (Sonic Frontiers, Sonic Adventure and Samba De Amigo) and was received somewhat positively by gamers and fans alike. Unfortunately, the title ended up being a commercial failure and there was never any sort of follow-up.

R.I.P. to a legend!

Studio Pierrot announced on Monday that its founder, animator and anime director Yji Nunokawa, passed away on December 25. He was 75. His close family will hold a service, followed by a memorial service by the studio.

Nunokawa was born in Sakata city in Yamagata prefecture. After graduating from the Nihon Design School in 1967, he worked as an animator and a technical director on many works at Mushi Production, Studio Jack, and Tatsunoko Production. He served as episode director on such anime series as The Funny Judo Champion, Casshan, and Time Bokan.

Nunokawa founded Studio Pierrot in 1979, and he served as its chair and chief adviser just before his passing. Early on, the studio worked on series such as Magical Angel Creamy Mami, Magical Fairy Persia, Saber Rider and the Star Sheriffs, Osomatsu-kun, and Kimagure Orange Road. Eventually, the studio became notable for its adaptations of Weekly Shonen Jump manga, including Y Y Hakusho, Bleach, Naruto, Beelzebub, and Black Clover, among others.

Japan's Agency for Cultural Affairs gave its Commissioner for Cultural Affairs award to him in 2019.

Not just 10 games but they have done a ton of work.

They are adding online features including battles and chip trading each game, a lot of images and music tracks, and a new English translation.

Technical Fixes and Adjustments from the Original Releases
The games included in this collection are based on the Japanese versions of each game, and the code had to be re-written as a result. So, for this collection, the English versions will have content equivalent to the Japanese versions of each game. Of course, the development team also made some adjustments that have been implemented! Director Eguchi shared some notes about the music that plays after you reach the ending of Mega Man Battle Network 6:
After finishing the game, when you select the Continue option, the tense music from the games ending kept playing. Weve corrected this so that when you continue immediately after finishing the game, the normal music is played instead.
Apparently, Mr. Eguchi forgot to include instructions for the corresponding song to start playing when you started the game again.

50 years ago in an AFC playoff game, Steelers vs Raiders, one of the greatest catches happened. On the final play of the game, Steelers score to win thanks to the amazing catch of the late Franco Harris (he passed away two days ago). The ball deflected off either Raiders' Jack Tatum or Steelers' John Fuqua towards Franco Harris and the rest is history.
