I have a lot of friends who's entire instagram feed is content around this topic and it just feels kinda weird to see that it's literally all they are looking at, all the time. Anytime you hear an incredible science claim, you always want to ask yourself "could I concieve of any possible way that they could obtain that information?". And if the answer is no, read into it and have skepticism.

They are making this claim based on an extrapolation of the number of neurons they might have had. Not only does that extrapolation deserve an eyebrow raise, but the number of neurons is not really a measure of anything meaningful. You cannot claim tool use because an animal had many neurons lol.

This may explain why there was a massive disparity in swimming due to the importance of breathing in that sport. There's a lot more to athleticism than muscularity and skeletal structure.

Of course this is preventable by supporting transitions at an early age but people who are most vocal about "the integrity of women's sports" are also very vocal about shitting on transgender rights.

This is basically the end game and people don't want to admit it. You could squint and make an argument for segregation based on a sex and it would be difficult and messy. I can't understand how sports segregation on gender makes sense.

I think what was most telling about Japanese culture that incident was how HE reacted to it.

Hard to say. I think a lot of fans agree that David Tennant might be the best, but I really liked what Matt Smith brought to the character. He really made him feel very old.

Capaldi had the potential to be the best but the writing really let him down.

Alabasta was a standout arc in the anime. Total tone shift from lighthearted villain of the week feel to reasonably complex political drama. One Piece has so many high points but that was definitely the point where the entire anime got more complex.

If you're talking about Brazilian Ronaldo, I completely agree with you. That guy was the fucking GOAT. Messi was of course more effective because he "lasted" way longer, but at both of their peaks, I'd say Ronaldo is the undisputed best the world has ever laid eyes on.

I was a little young to really appreciate that Ronaldo, but I do remember world cup 98 on the n64 and the tactic was "run the entire pitch with him and score", lol.

That said, Messi's 2012...better even than that?
