Been awhile since I've played and actually followed along in a game rather than just read snippets at the end. How's everyone doing?

I've got a bit of a completionist's mindset so I had no trouble betraying if I felt like it. But yeah I'd do the opposite once I saw the end of whatever route/choice I made. It never crossed my mind to solely ally with everyone and then go back and betray after all the ally routes had been exhausted.

Hero was always my favorite class. Really like Swordmasters and Berserkers as well. Reading this topic I'm reminded I really like Paladins as well.

Also yeah count me among those that consider GBA to be top tier animations. I honestly don't think 3D animations will be able to bring to the table what the GBA did. Just from a design perspective I don't think they're sitting their going "let's go hard as fuck with the battle animations this time." Not exactly a priority. =/

I dunno if Awakening's was dumb. Pretty standard time travel stuff. At least it made sense even if someone may think it's dumb.

Fates saw what worked in Awakening and tried to shoehorn a 2nd generation in to a disastrous degree imo.

Oh and since you were talking characters...half of them were ripped from Awakening both in design and personality. And actually literally I guess but I never got that far to find that out or why. I despise Fates so much.

Overall it's Wario since N64 is my most played Mario Kart game by far. Post N64 it's Daisy.

Clover was first for me and then Dio. I think K was third? Can't remember the order after that except I remember Luna was the last ending I got before the true ending of course. Spoilers just in case but I can't imagine not getting that one last for story beat purposes.

Though I always wonder with games like this, where the experience order can be so different, if people feel their experience was the best route to take to "enjoy" the game.

None of my bets hit, I lost in fantasy, Broncos and Rams couldn't hold on for the win (Bears need them to win one more game each to hang on to the #2 pick due to tiebreakers). Terrible day all around!

Ohh interesting! Yeah that makes sense. Just because Dio/Clover have no locks doesn't mean you have to get one of the two first. Seems improbable but not impossible yeah.

I know that Dio or Clover have to be the first ending you get. Other endings are locked behind stuff you find out in those two endings. Once you get one of the two things open up a bit I believe.

Beating the Packers would have been very cathartic but I'd rather have the draft position. It's very clear we're going to be on the upswing in the next year or two if management/coaching doesn't blow it while the Packers are just fucked.

Like all my parlays involve the Chargers moneyline cause I can't see why they're underdogs. Just inviting disaster but whatever.

High School - 2 best friends from elementary/HS have slowly lost contact with. The one we just grew apart but the other I also went to college with. They moved out of state and I visited a few times but they've got a family now and hasn't really show interest visiting back here so I'd say we're more the equivalent of Facebook friends now. Other good friends from high school I've tried reconnecting with over the years.

College - Still good friends with 1 of them and will see others around occasionally.

Last time I rewatched Beast Wars was in college and it still held up. Been wanting to do another one recently and I think this'll get me to commit.

I've gotten all the supports for FE7, FE8, and Awakening. PoR I didn't like how I wasn't able to grind them out easily so I didn't bother. And 3H...I'm not sure why I haven't.

And not only did I get all the supports in FE7...I did it twice because on my last playthrough before 100% the supports...my cartridge randomly reset. No idea why. Took a year off and got back to it haha.

I think VLR is easily the longest game of the 3 but I'm still surprised you haven't hit an ending yet. Maybe the paths to the endings are stricter in VLR than in 999 but I honestly can't remember.

I think one of my main complaints about RD is that magic just...isn't good in this game. Soren, Sanaki, and Micaiah are the only magic units I use in RD and one of those isn't available till endgame. Everyone else either has availability issues or is just so outclassed by the physical units. So it kind of goes back to your unit viability issue.

But yeah, I should replay PoR sometime. Always loved RD and have replayed it a lot but PoR I haven't in awhile. Great games though!

I just beat Outer Wilds literally 15 minutes ago. It really shouldn't be a game I like. Small tutorial and they tell ya to just go like what am I supposed to do!? Tell me! And I absolutely sucked at the controls. And yet...something clicked when I went back to it after a couple days. By the end of it I was loving it and the controls were easy. Was a fantastic experience!

Yup looks about right. Haar has a lot of great boss convos here if you care about those.

Fairly positive Sephiran appears on screen with the Black Knight at some point. But I get it! I'm not much of a theory crafter myself when I'm consuming media haha. Think PoR game data spoiled a lot of people on the Black Knight's identity as well back in the day.

Santa Clause (Dresden Files)

I already liked Haar from PoR even if he wasn't a very good unit. So it made me incredibly happy how good he was in RD. And he's one of the few background characters who gets some time to shine later as well. Though I might be underselling other characters and whatever base convos they have so don't hold me to that statement haha.

I always recruit Jill to the Greil Mercenary team. Who cares about the Dawn Brigade?
