His spear looks like it's made out of scrap metal parts, which makes sense considering his line of work.

The military would undoubtedly have the advantage, but they would have some limitations using their technology on their own people. You start dropping bombs on your own soil you destroy the very infrastructure that fuels your military.

The other thing is if things got this bad in the US the military would likely be splintered. It probably wouldn't be the citizens vs the military. It would be citizens plus some parts of the military vs other citizens and parts of the military.

People bring up the smoke inhalation aspect a lot, but you don't have to do it that way nowadays. You can use it in a dry herb vape and even add a bong, both of which significantly reduce the amount of smoke chemicals you inhale.

I prefer butts because they're closer to the main event.

I use it for the free games, and I've been playing Dauntless a lot lately. But Steam is undoubtedly better. You need to use Steam with it to get basic things like wider controller support.

For the few games compatible with MacOS their computers are really good for playing them. Find another laptop that can play games at decent frame rates on battery for hours with little to no fan noise without burning your lap.

You definitely don't want to buy them for gaming right now, but you're not going to find anything with its combination of power and efficiency on the market at the moment. The old adage about the Apple Tax is a bit more complicated nowadays.

In a vacuum there's nothing wrong with any of those things other than always online. It's the fact that many games are released broken and incomplete, and these new features enable them to get away with it.

It's a shame this generation has started out so rocky. The standardization of SSDs is potentially the best thing to happen to game design in generations. But few games get to take full advantage of it because they need to be designed to run on last gen systems.

They are nice and portable, but the non-upgradability means it isn't that good for gaming.

Hopefully Framework's laptop design takes off with other manufacturers. It still requires swapping out the entire motherboard to upgrade the CPU/GPU but it's a big step in the right direction.

Honestly, hyperspace kind of makes a mess of space combat no matter what the rules are. If it was like before where things in hyperspace can't hit anything they'd still make for incredibly overpowered missiles. Strap a hyperdrive and a droid brain for guidance to a missile, then have it jump out of hyperspace shortly before impacting the target.

SteamOS is a bit hit or miss at the moment, but it definitely has a ton of potential. It has a lot of gaming-specific features, and it's adding new features all the time. It's also better optimized and comes out of sleep mode faster. But Windows is still far superior for game compatibility, though the gap is slowly closing.

Eventually it will go open source, and it will be installable on any x86 device, including the Aya Neo. Though the Steam Deck has some features that can't be replicated, like the trackpads.

CityNerd has an interesting video on this. A lot of it too can be attributed to car manufacturers making vehicles larger these days, especially trucks.

And now thanks to gas prices many of those trucks are sitting in dealership lots taking up space while the hybrids are on 3 month back order.

Yeah, it's basically negligible. When you factor in the serving size difference (30g vs 28g) it's about 7mg more.

I tried going the plant based life, but as a diabetic, any added carbs were a no go, so having a beef burger was the best option for me with 0 carbs as an example.

Eh, it's true for many uses for meat, but not all. You can easily replace the ground beef with TVP in a chili for example, and it will taste the same. It's a similar thing with heavily processed meats like hot dogs, sausages, and deli meats. But most of the flavor of a steak still comes from the steak itself.

As a vegan myself I've found great replacements for most things I liked, but there are definitely a few things I haven't found a good replication of.
