I have no clue who you are, but you're not getting a good reaction in this thread so I could probably post just about anyone else and they'd be more popular.

The first act was decent, then it was just contrived and then the final act was just the most generic Marvel borefest.

I know people didn't like Eternals, but I feel like they at least tried something different with that. Shang Chi, and to an even worse extent Black Widow, had some really good ideas at the start but were just the most paint-by-numbers films in the end. No inspiration at all.

Only ever played Star Ocean The Last Hope(4?) and it was awful. This doesn't look any different. Same bad designs, awful voice acting, terrible dialogue and what looks like an overly contrived and cliche plot.

I got about 3/4 the way through Dark Souls before I gave up as I found it boring. Haven't had any interest in a Souls game since.

Haven't heard of a single one of those shows.

I definitely remember MitM having this issue as well. I'm sure it meant there was never a full DVD release and it's why it took years to come to streaming as well.

I think Superman vs The Elite covers it a little too. More in the sense that he really, really tones down his strong he is so as to not be so much of a literal God that he's unrelateable.

And I think it kind if extends to how he chooses to act too. He'll save people from disasters, he'll fight tyrants and monsters, he'll protect the planet from alien threats, but he won't play God and fix all of humanity's problems.

I cant see how this possibly translates well to live action, but I'll watch it regardless as I love OPM.

Probably not the first one to think this, but my prediction for this gens gimmick is that certain Pokemon will have 2 forms that they can switch between with either a player item or a held item or both.

An Ancient Form and a Future Form.

You will be able to do so in battle and they'll come with type changes, as well as moveset changes and obviously a design change.

I'm not sure how they'll do the move changes, but would be a nice way to give some Pokemon a nice utility boost without also making them super powerful like with Mega.

They could also apply this to some old gen Pokemon too, with some fossil types getting a Future form, some futuristic ones like Magnezone or Duraludon getting Ancient forms.

Good job, 0 and 100 are easy to remember, but literally when does any lay person need to know or care about the boiling point? You heat the water until it boils regardless. Take away that, and it's just a measure of remembering 0 vs 32 and you get much more nuance in everyday temperature differences in Fahrenheit given that it covers the same scale with twice the degrees compared to Celsius.

We can decimalise Celsius if we need to, and weather reports do. But its not even really necessary. It's just about familiarity.

Same as you know how to dress for certain temperatures, we do too. There's neglible difference between a few degrees. If the weather says it's going to be 30C and you go out in shorts and t-shirt and it's actually 27C you're not exactly going to be freezing, it's still pretty hot.

Blockbuster was never really a massive thing here in the UK. However, the new girl who I work with didn't know what Top of the Pops was and that made me feel old.

I got to the first boss fight in Shenmue 3 and gave up. Its not just that they didn't update the game, they also made it an even worse grindfest than either of the previous ones were.

A lot of people liked the slice of life stuff that the first two did, as it felt like it had purpose. You worked in the docs as you needed access to them and information from people there.

Meanwhile in Shennue 3 you're about 10 minutes into the game and have to start grinding wood chopping for money. No other purpose, it's just there to delay your progress.

I've made some fantastic burgers myself.

But in a restaurant, there's a place called Solita in Manchester that does one called the Manchattan. It's on a Lancashire oven bottom, has 2 burger patties, Lancashire cheese, pastrami, a black pudding slice and American style mustard mixed with Lancashire sauce.

Sonic R was a fantastic racing game back in the day. Sonic and Sega All Star Racing 1&2 were also really good.

No one ever talks about it, but I also really liked Sonic 3D as a kid.

Shenmue 1&2, KotOR 2, Mass Effect 2, Fallout New Vegas, Pillars of Eternity, Disco Elysium.

Those are probably my all time favourites.

I hope we get a new 'DEATH' punch panel.

Not listened to it yet, but I just don't get how they can be so prolific and maintain the quality. They're insane.

I saw the Wubby video too. I swear this picture has been doing the rounds for much longer than he mentioned.

Effective villains can be compelling, but for me, the best villains are the ones who have a point, and that I actually root for, because it makes their failure all the more tragic.

My favourite villain in anything is Fou-Lu from Breath of Fire 4, because I'm pretty much on his side right up to the end.

Kreia from KotOR2 is my favourite villain for this.

The whole film is a series of toy adverts. It's awful.

If I'm at a dedicated turning lane with a filter light, then no I don't as its not required. If I'm in a dedicated turning lane that isn't at traffic lights at at, then yes.

Control - once you've unlocked most of the powers and know how to use them effectively, the gameplay is so rewarding.

Flying around, tearing chunks of scenery off and launching them at enemies, catching incoming rockets and throwing them back, throwing dead bodies around, mind controlling enemies...

It still posed a challenge at times, but felt really satisfying and you felt over powered.

I remember for repeat playthroughs the dual blaster build just absolutely demolished. Who needs lightsabers.

I thought it was down there as one of the worst Marvel films. It showed promise for the first 20 minutes, but just devolved into the most generic, predictable Marvel film yet. It was so by-the-numbers.

I think Devil's Hands are Idol Playthings is the best complete episode.

This has my favourite little joke in the whole show.

I just love when they're racing in the sewers and they blast past Sal the labourer guy. His catchphrase is he always pluralises 'whoah!' to 'whoahs!', but when they shock him here he drops to typically pluralised word 'cripes!' to 'cripe!'

Such a silly little throwaway joke that never fails to make me laugh.

Yeah 6 is fantastic on a rewatch. Has some fantastic moments and the new characters are excellent.

I wouldn't say I'm a non-fan, but I've never read the manga and only got as far as the English Dub before it went on hiatus for a few years (I know it's finally back, but haven't bothered to catch up yet).

But I have seen all the recent spoilers and it sounds pretty exciting and I'm probably going to start the manga if I can and maybe the eng dub again.

Yes and it was one if the most uncomfortable experiences I've had. And I mean physically, nothing to do with nudity. I was sore for days after.

That tea looks weak as fuck. Too much milk and didn't let it stew long enough.

I think it was renewed immediately after series 2, but was just kind of lost in the covid limbo.

I think making fresh pasta from scratch is a nice treat and I do it more for the act I'd doing it. But shop bought dried pasta is absolutely fine.

I never buy ready made jar sauces though. Its nit hard to make a quick ragu or a loose sauce with fresh tomatoes and a bit of parmesan and pasta water to thicken it.

I never buy jar sauces for Indian or Chinese food either, but will buy the full ready meals if I'm in a rush, as the recipes tend to not be as quick to make as a sime pasta.

Must have played through R/B/Y at least 20 times as a kid.

If we expand to remakes too I probably played FR/LG at least once each and then Let's Go Eevee once.

She couldn't have answered better without taking the bait. Basically said she's a judge, her skills lie in having 2 sides put forward arguments and evidence and making decisions based upon that.

Anyway, Guzman is the casting choice I'm most interested in, since they're clearly skewing more towards the original depiction of Gomez.

It's good casting, but I have to say that after watching Hawkeye, I felt like Vera Farmiga and Tony Dalton would have made a good Morticia and Gomez.

I wish DA2 had like a years extra development. Not only would it have just given the game some needed polish, but it would have released around the time of Game of Thrones started airing. The whole political intrigue aspect would have been a much more popular choice for a game then.

Smash still holds up too. Great album that I go back to every few months.

Bad Habit is my favourite song off it.

I think it looks great. Voted No as I'm going to buy it second hand.
