They're not a monarchy anymore, so the royal families don't even have any real political power. They serve as little more than a symbol. But the problem with such a symbol is that it does nothing but privilege a family for doing nothing useful. Why does England still do this?

What I remember though is Tinkerbell appearing in the classic Disney Castle openings on the VHS of Peter Pan and every subsequent Disney movie. She would appear on the screen, pull out her wand, and dot the 'i' in "Disney." Those videos do however explain the source of the false memory, especially the second one.

I coulda swore I remember Pikachu's tail having a black tip at the end of it. I also knew for the longest time that Tinkerbell flew onto the screen during every Disney Intro with the castle and would pull out her magic wand, before recently discovering that Tinkerbell does not appear in any of the Disney openings. wtf?
