I am not a fan of rap, but I can't help but like really old rap from the late 1970s/early 1980s.
I like to call that particular brand of rap "good feel rap" because it's so boyant and cheerful that you must be the most foul miser toe ever exist not to feel good listening to it.

This is pretty much a fan fiction. Most characters are new creations. The showrunners already said they are just throwing Tolkein's entire timeline out the window and are going to take the dozens of major events that happen over 3,400 years in the Secnond Age and cram them into the same time frame w/ their own original characters/stories mixed in.

To answer your questions, Orcs were around back then in the books. Who knows when the Rings will be made in the show, but they were supposed to be made 1600 years before the birth of Isildur, and he is already alive and grown in the show. No one ever emerged from a meteor in the books.

Frieza teaming up with Goku completely negates everything that happened leading up to and including Namek, especially the ruthlessness and the genocide.

With the Trunks saga, Plan to Eradicate the Saiyans, Fusion Reborn and GT already existing, bringing back Frieza in Super was the 5th time it's happened. Sure, apart from Trunks none of that was canon but it'd still happened that many times for the audience.

Golden Frieza was a lazy recolour to essentially give him Super Saiyan and now he's black in the manga; another lazy recolour. If they HAD to bring him back what they should've done was given him Cooler's final form. That way it could made Cooler semi-canon for the fans the same as they did for the whole Kefla/Broly thing.

Why did Trunks have to get his Universe erased and go to a new timeline with another Future Trunks? They should've kept him around and used him for the Tournament of Power instead of fucking Frieza.

The Tournament of Power goes for a fucking 3rd of the run, even when we'd just had the Universe 6 tournament.

But my biggest gripe of Super, going as far back as the Battle of Gods movie when it was still technically Dragon Ball Z, is the timeline. Until it gets past End of Z, or they confirm that it's being retconned, it will just be a prequel and will never have any serious stakes because of it since we know how it all turns out

Yeah, Euphoria is pretty unapologeticly unreal. There arent that many parties and drugs in college, let alone high school.

What it is is a show about how our traumas shape us and usually for the worse. All of the main cast are fundamentally damaged people to one extent or another. And the show has incredible empathy for each one of these broken dumb asses. Rue doesnt want to live or die. Nate is twisted by a lifetime of rage. Jules hasnt learned to love herself or to take ownership of her body and her passions. Cassie loathes herself for being a histrionic slut at the same time that she loves being the center of attention. And so on

Ok that actually sounds pretty crap

I loved Skins. It played an important part in my teenage years because when it aired I was the same age as the characters and in result could relate to what they were going through and dealing with.

Now as a 32 year old, if Euphoria is that sort of show it'd be interesting to see what teenagers these days are going through

Now that I'm alot more familiar with the franchise I appreciated it a whole lot more

It was like a mesh of the original animated movie, Stand Alone Complex and Arise (can't test to the manga since I haven't read it) and had little nods and easter eggs in it. I don't think ScarJo is a very good actor and she's quite wooden but in this case it captures the Major's personality perfectly. Not to mention the visuals and set pieces were phenomenal.

Though I agree that Kusanagi's prosthetic body was always meant to be caucasian from the 1995 movie onwards I really don't want to get into that here. However the one gripe I do have is that her brain is meant to be of that of a 15 - 16 year old. Not sure why but that's just doesn't sit quite right with me

But apart from that prolly one of my fav movies of all time - it just clicked with me

I loved the Tekken effect as well where Aramaki was only speaking Japanese and everyone else was only speaking English but they still understood each other. I thought that added some charm to it
