No, but they do put on quite a show.

RE2 was even worse. You start out with 5 burning zombies ready to munch you to death in 3 hits and all you have is a puny handgun and your tank controls to get you going.

Most newbies die a few times before they figure out the controls or the fact that you should just run and not try to kill everything.

Also isnt it super cool that SH3 came with the soundtrack? I wish more games did that. A lot of anime games do and thats always a nice bonus.

2 and 3 were much better IMO. 4 did have some great tracks though.

But the goat music is still the SH1 main theme

Mercs has always been garbage since its RE4 version. In RE3 it was much more like Raid or EX battle mode but a time limit added on. Ever since they made it what it is today, it is just an annoying slog to try and grind out all the 5 star shit to get the big prize and then you never touch it again.

My dream would be for them to double the amount of weapons (even add some more melee upgrades and throwables)

EVERY gun has a special exclusive that sets it apart from the rest (maybe even 2 vastly different exclusives to make them require a choice at the end of the upgrade path. Some weapon balance would be nice as well. Village had the issue of later game weapons made the earlier counterparts absolutely worthless. The starting guns should have a gimmick that makes them compete if you pump enough cash into them.

All classic enemies return with the addition of some new types (I want those damn Plagas cats).

This is the prime chance to add shit from the 3.1 and 3.5 builds. Hook man, the dolls, the black cloud. Do it all. They can easily handwave why you are fighting ghosts and haunted dolls and shit with the whole "Leon is infected and seeing shit" thing.

Greatly expand the village. I dont care if they have to axe the ruins or island 1 to fit it in. Just do it.

Lots and lots of unlocks and extras. New game plus, lots of costumes, time attack modes, ability to play as Krauser or Wesker, Assignment ADA and Seperate Ways.

No mercs mode. Mercs fucking sucks. Raid Mode is much better.
