Yeah I graduated from residency training so now I make actual doctor money.

I actually kinda benefited form the pandemic because extra shifts opened up allowing me to moonlight at 130-180 an hour

Black Rose engine is essentially there to spam out the generic synchros and in very rare case end with the Black Rose link that can reactively pull out Black Rose or Ruddy. Sadly they've not been given nearly enough recursion to get the costs required to pull that shit off, so it's easier to just summon Borreload Savage/Crystal Wing/Baronne and any combination of them.

It's a bit lame but that's how most synchro decks are nowadays.

dont get me wrong I support forgiveness and I think the whole higher education industry needs to be reined in but doesnt this sort of shield them from the inevitable criticism from the right that theyre only helping rich people with this?

Resident salary is 60K and fellowship training is about 70K. They almost always hit the 80 hours a week of work while getting abused by hospital administration. That is 6 years of your life already sitting on this debt with interest.

My monthly payments were only $150 a month for a debt of 212K.

After graduation from fellowship, yeah sure you make 200K+. then get taxed about 75% so your net take home pay is about 150K. Now you are 33 years old, don't own a house, still have loans to pay off, probably have a family now.

maybe TD Ameritrade if you want to do day trading, since they have the best software (thinkorswim) for charts/data/ect. They are owned by Schwab now btw.
Vanguard ETFs are great/popular, but you can buy them with any broker.

Coming from an actual physician.

At this point I don't really care. At the end of the day, I just document everything and your reasoning for not accepting treatment. And if I see no more options available I just discharge. I still get paid the same and I can give the bed to someone else. This is a free country so you can do whatever you want, including going to NP run practice for snake oil treatments.

Btw, once we encounter stories like that we just laugh with the other physicians in the lounge and move on.
