I feel like when the directors were contacted about ABCs #1, the message said something like: "Pick a letter and make a short film about death. It can be about anything you want!"

Then when the directors were contacted about ABCs #2, the message said: "Pick a letter and make a short film about death. It can be about anything other than toilets, farting, and turds!"

The message itself is somewhat conflicting, we have multiple people confirming shes excessively needy, but then a conflicting confirmation that her paranoia was legitimate.

(Johnbobb) ... by far the BIGGEST flaw in my opinion being the way it uses a disfigured character as nothing more than a weird, uncomfortable crutch who holds no real purpose in the film other than to essentially be the "look how ugly he is, isn't that scary?!??!" character. It's both harmful and weirdly out of place in a film where the horror is, in all other aspects, entirely focused around cult mentality, societal deviance and mental disorder, all things that are presented through speech and actions rather than what appears to be intended gross-out horror.

Oh I get its impact on her. But I don't think that impact really changed much of note considering the time spent on it early on. If it say, didn't happen, I don't think the plot changes all that much.

Also if anybody can explain the choice of end credits song for Hereditary Id appreciate it.

Holy s*** a Midsommar top three? Really pleasantly surprised by that. I know Busan is having a bit of a miracle run here, but I feel like that applies to Midsommar as well. I thought for sure that would be one of the biggest targets of people that don't like "elevated horror". I was shocked it broke top ten, then five, and now three.

I do not see any way it finishes over the other two because it has to be all the remaining low scores, but this was a crazy good run (put my money on Midsommar, again) for what feels like one of the "artsier" movies to me. I really liked that but I thought a lot of people wouldn't.

I'm impressed that Midsommar actually ranked higher than Hereditary. Nice job!

ok so first off, everyone in the Academy is a f***in coward and not giving even nominations to Dafoe, Pattinson, or the cinematography or set design is despicable

Manhattan Project is the best TMNT game. Very underrated.

Jcgamer107 - Somewhat borderline whether its a horror film or just a pure thriller but theres more than enough brutal, gruesome violence that Ill buy it. Just a really effective execution of an extremely simple premise with a good cast, reminds me of John Carpenters Assault on Precinct 13. It does a nice job of character building as we go on even though the movie is mostly about pure premise and propulsion. You've got these stage punks who are totally unprepared for actual violence going up against people who are very experienced when it comes to real violence and having to adjust to fighting on their level in order to survive. It does fully grapple with the gravity of its violence though, how gruesome it actually is to take somebodys life and the weight it would put on any halfway decent person. Patrick Stewart does some of the best work of his career, Imogen Poots is fun as such a steely character and even if hes done better, man I miss Anton Yelchin.

Out of curiosity what's everyone's favorite 2010s horror movie that didn't make the list?
