Banning abortions too early is an effective ban since it won't always be apparent early.

And as we can see, exceptions aren't always made for these circumstances. Also, exceptions are completely illogical if a "pro-life" party view abortion as murder. That would be them saying baby murder is okay sometimes.

Many of them are not based in science (banning abortion before most women could tell) or based on lies (late-term abortions, widespread abortion as birth control, etc).
