Unless your suggestion is to kill everyone that's poor or lazy or makes a bad decision, we're always paying for other people. You are always paying for other people. If you pay taxes or insurance, you have paid for others every single day of your life and it's the only way society can function.

I'd love to hear your suggestions on a world where no one ever spends a dime on anyone beyond themselves. Sounds like a dystopian hellhole.

The argument does not work because the men's league has no inherent limitations, its open to everyone, but realistically only men can compete in it.

But a women's league has limitations, they exclude men, so that women have a space to compete.

I'm not personally saying that trans-women shouldn't be in women's sports, I am just saying that the Phelps argument does not work. And that if you want to convince more people, you should avoid it.

Isn't it sexist to for us to be okay with men's leagues not having limitations? Why do men have to suck it up and deal with unfair advantages?

I literally participate in zero political subreddits or any other political forum. I am not part of a hivemind and regularly feel on an island if you totaled up every one of my beliefs.

I'm also still really annoyed that LGBT issues are even associated with any political leaning. That's incredibly damaging to the community that being against them is considered not just a valid political stance, but a major defining difference between America's conservative and liberals parties, as seen by how major news networks and polticians highlight LGBTQ+ news as "proof of leftism running wild".

What I am saying is the people that want to stop the trans women to "protect the women" don't care about trans men and their safety. They don't even care about the advantages trans men would have playing with cis women. Most of the loud advocates against trans women in sports are singling out trans women not because they care about competitive advantages or physical safety, but because it's another battlefield on which to fight against trans people. You know it's true.

What does science have to do with playing sports ball? It's entertainment, a diversion, a hobby. The religion is how sacred we hold sports. I am likely the biggest sports nerd here, and it's silly how much America values sports beyond being fun to play and entertaining to watch.

And shouldn't we be fearful for female bodies being harmed playing in a strong men's league? Shouldn't we worry about the advantages a trans man may have over a cis woman on a even playing field?

Solution: Society starts supporting trans people as young as possible so that they do not continue to go through the wrong puberty.

Also, everyone concerned about the safety of women and fairness never weeps for trans women in men's leagues. Or trans men in men's leagues. Or trans men in women's leagues. There are advantages and disadvantages there that could result in someone getting hurt or demoralized.

There is no such thing as disagreement on LGBTQ+ people. American society is trying so hard to oppress and silence innocent people for existing in a way that offends their stupid ass political and religious beliefs. Lives are at serious risk and it certainly isn't minor. One is either an ally or a bigot. There is no debate to be had and people can shove their politics.

I get that posting on CE is always irrelevant in the grand scheme of things, but I absolutely pick and choose my battles.
