R.I.P. Too young

I thought I would enjoy Android more and switched back to it when my iPhone died, but it didn't take too long for me to realize I'm done with Android. I used to not agree with people who say iPhone is easier to use because I thought improvements could be made, but Android makes simple things more complicated than it should be

• The Contacts UI looks more intuitive on iOS
• In WhatsApp, I have to download all images and GIF's to view them, when this is done in the background in iOS
• When I go to a restaurant and scan the QR code for the menu, the Android downloads the PDF, but doesn't show it the first time. I then try again and it downloads PDF again and I have to tap on PDF notification to view the menu. Way cleaner on iOS
• Can't beat Apple ecosystem, hands down
• There's one particular app that literally requires me to switch between data plan and Wifi back-and-forth to alleviate its connection issues. It's this one app on Android that has this issue and it drives me insane
• The game I play asks me every time I open it if I want to create a Google Play account and I never found a way to turn off this obnoxious notification. The game also has lots of connection issues, only on Android
• Blue bubbles, enough said. Also, can see actual timestamp of texts for iMessages
• You have to manually download every single app on Android. While some may think of this as flexibility, it really is easier if the essential apps such as Phone and Messages auto-update
• Android takes longer to reflect game updates. You also can't refresh the page like you can on iOS AND it takes longer to get to update page

I don't really care to customize my phone too much. The only real positive I can say about my Android phone is I get to accumulate Play points from my games, not sure if there's a similar thing for iOS

I also realized the overwhelming majority of people, at least in the U.S., use iPhone. I used to be kind of anti-Apple years ago, but I started to come around when I realized they make very good laptops and my re-experience with Android also convinced me I need to go back to their phones

I can't remember if I've ever upgraded and merged a Grand Hero on day 1, but Limstella was convincing enough for me to do it. It/them is only the SECOND green mage GH we've gotten and the THIRD green mage grail unit, which goes to show how awful IS is at variety. Limstella was lucky enough to be granted a PRF, and a good one at that, so I happily obliged. Medeus is the best buddy for it/them. Limstella can run Atk/Def Push 4 or Atk/Res Push 4 with no cost. I do have a spare Brami who would be good fodder, but I'm not so ready to give up a good Mythic unit even as a spare

L!Caeda is better than people give her credit for. She counters and one-shots some of the most dangerous cav threats. Not sure if she one-shots Leitizia, but she's not a bad pick in SD. That said, she's not a high merge priority and I currently don't have anyone who really wants Distant Storm, so I decided to do the one circle on LH banner. I would have gone in if we had a more enticing LH. It also looks like Ladlegard is on her way out of these banners, which sucks because it'll make it even harder to complete her

Who are you giving Storm to? I thought I wouldn't pull on new banner, but Sain looks fun and tempting. Too bad he doesn't have a Ruse. I have some Ruse fodder sitting around, so might give it to someone he would pair well with

Then, with the help of others, I realized how versatile he is and was kicking myself for being a dummy. Bit the bullet, went back in, and spent some orbs to get him. I probably could have gotten him in the first circle >____>

Merging him to get rid of the Def bane and give him a tad bit more HP for HP-based skills isn't the worst thing I could do

The 4* focus % has to be higher than what's displayed in the in-game chart because these units are pretty easy to obtain

I really don't see a point in getting the Rafiel manual, even if you already have him. It wouldn't be so bad if he came with IP, but he's such shit fodder that I think this is the first time I'm going to forgo the 5* choice. I'll take Barst over him any day. The other two options I choose will just be icing on the cake

No surprise that when there's a skill that disables Save skills in SD, I can actually win PvP matches. Save skills were truly a mistake

I realized anything that has two skills that deny FU's means he won't get the second attack. I tried pitting him against Rudolf with Wary Fighter in the calculator and he attacks once. As for my file, I gave him Watersweep, and against anything that denies FU, he also attacks once. I gave him Watersweep in a hurry and forgot it requires a Spd check

There's something I'm missing regarding Adroit War Tome. One of its appeals is that Y!Soren just needs one more Res than the foe and he'll be able to FU, but in reality, he doesn't FU against any slow armors with Wary Fighter, even if the Res check passes effortlessly. He also wins the Spd check, so what is the obstacle preventing the second attack?

Interesting nomination period this year. I didn't look at the topic for two hours and when I checked back in, the topic had six additional pages of posts and nominations were over. I had no idea the locking period would not even finish

A meh year in terms of how noms went. We've Got to Believe in Something making it in was a pleasant surprise, but the songs that almost made it last year saw little to no support from the same people this year, and my goal was to get the tracks in.

@Prody_Parrot There is currently a 24-hour pause period where no nominations and supports will be accepted. The pause period ends at 10pm EDT today

I'm curious, what's the rationale for not making the nom period two-weeks long? The only disadvantage I see is it would extend the schedule, but not by much. You could still instate a pause period to give people as much time as possible to go through the tracks
