After playing it I'm so surprised at these responses. I thought the bobby part was really touching. And there was certainly nothing actively bad about it IMO besides maybe the level of difficulty

That shit was great, I don't know what you all were on about.

Roly and his wife's story was touching. The whole thing being a comedy of errors was played off much better than they did in case 2. I guess my complaints are that they're hamming up the whole 'Nipponese in Britain' thing a bit much for my tastes but I'm sure it fits the time period. Also the case was pretty obvious as to what happened after a point and there was a good bit of time where it was drug out a bit, but the presentation was good enough that it didn't bum me out too much.

Also that there's been a lack of any real villain and the games almost over. McGilded would fit the bill but he's dead, so...I'm not sure how I'd feel about them bringing him back. They'd have to do a really good job of it. But it's kind of the only thing that makes sense since the game hasn't really built towards anything else yet, so...I don't know. I'll reserve judgment for now.

That's not a complaint against that particular case in any case, so not important right now. I think I liked that more than case 3. It certainly felt more complete.

Susato is so charming. Every time she does her little arm punch in the air it's so adorable. I think based off first impressions I like her more than Maya. Maybe that's just recency bias though. I also spent a lot more time with Maya so Susato still has a lot to live up to!

Case seems pretty good so far but we'll see how it goes off the rails I guess. I just got to the end of the investigation so maybe the trial sucks. We'll see.

Or maybe it's just that jester looking mystery roommate. I only saw him for a minute but I already hate him more than any other character in the series by far. Worse than that chef in 3

One thing thats kind of weird to me is how short all the cases have been. One day, case 2 is all investigation no court, case 3 is all court no investigation. Hopefully they start doing some full fledged stuff soon

They spelled that out pretty clearly last night. When the district attorney is speaking to Kim about Jimmy working with the cartel and is trying to appeal to his or Kim's humanity to get him to turn himself in, Kim frankly corrects her by saying Saul is the one doing all that, not Jimmy. In my mind that's basically her saying that Saul is the kind of lawyer that will work with the cartel, even if Jimmy wasn't and she supports it. She basically comes out and says it later when she brings it up to him, she said do you want to be a friend of the cartel, or a rat? It's such poignant language she chooses to use to let Jimmy and us know what she is thinking: keep working with the cartel, keep getting your hands dirty. At this point clearly she is enabling him because she's getting off on being the "mobsters wife" and the power fantasy of it all has gone to her head, she just keeps such a calm and collected demeanor while doing it that it tricks you into thinking that's not what's happening. But it absolutely is.
Also I disagree I think she is at least partially motivated by the money. I agree she is getting off on the scam, and on punishing Howard, but I also definitely think that she wants the money.

I agree with you a little bit, but I think the show is so well written that I can be more concerned with the how and why rather than the what. Which is a rarity, but these guys know how to write a story.

Case 2 beaten. Kinda disappointed there was no court scene, but it was still a good story and did a good job of establishing Naruhodos motive to become a lawyer. Also Ballerina sucks now. It is a little frustrating that his death was so "pointless", compared to how they established Mias killer.

Also I really miss unlocking art to look at in the chapter select after you beat a case. That was the reward!

I love the presentation upgrades compared to the originals. Fixing herlocks logic is fun and done very well

Case 2 is pretty good so far. I haven't played too much. I definitely love Sholmes. And the Maya replacement is nice. Ballerina girl is very pretty. Not sure I like the detective much as a gumshoe replacement but he's nice enough.

Nevermind I looked it up it says Afghanistan was founded in the mid 1800s. I thought it was a modern country. TIL

Ok how come sholmes says that we're returning from Afghanistan if this game takes place in the 1800s and Afghanistan doesn't exist yet
