Man did I screw up though, I almost beat him first try, and I was wondering why Vayne was doing such poor damage, and when I went to upgrade Larsa's accessory to the 8% I noticed I didn't have Vayne or Larsa equipped with anything because I was planning to get the hero equipment from Kite's shop and I forgot to equip it before the fight!

D'oh! Well he is pretty easy at least, the incoming damage is really high so I have to use Larsa and Orran's awakenings early, but it becomes a lot more manageable when Vaan gets his sync 1 up because of the damage reduction barrier. Wish I could get a better time but this realm lacks a buffer.

New labyrinth and Nexus boss tomorrow! FF12- apparently this Nexus boss is the easiest yet because he doesn't use the 5 second wall Dragonking Bahamut and other Nexuses uses so you can go ham with your cap breaks.

Team I'm thinking is Vaan (sync1/both awakenings) Vayne (sync/awakening 1) Fran (sync/both awakenings/glint+/LBO) Larsa (awakening and crit damage up USB) and Orran. I'd like to go mage but FF12 doesn't have a third mage DPS... Though maybe I can slap gathering storm on Fran for imperils and let Ashe go ham?

That's cool Red Earth finally gets a console release after 20 years being that mysterious game where the witch and the lion barbarian guy is from that cameo in some Capcom games.

Lame that they split the Darkstalkers games as "5" when they should have just used Vampire Collection so we just have all 18 characters in one game + Dee, when they freaking did it with Hyper Street Fighter 5 in the same collection! And Capcom wonders why those games don't sell...

Ugh just barely! Even with a Dual Awakening Gladiolus is hard to use because he's so friggin' SLOW! Ardyn is still my FF15 MVP because his ultra is so freaking good and those instant ATBs from his sync when he's wounded.

Maybe they can make Feolthanos a mage for FF12? Though I guess that would piss off the Caius fans if Revenant Wings got it's last boss before FF13-2's.

Also I know Kaxon is gonna hate hearing this but if FF1 gets more characters most likely they're going to be from the Strangers in Paradise game as an advertisement.

IMO every realm should have 3 physicals and mage DPS for realm content since bosses are getting bulkier it's harder to juggle mixed teams with physical needing crit rate/damage buffs, FF1 will probably get one of the SiP guys as a mage (probably the guy with pink hair or the new girl), FF11 is getting that new girl so it has two mages now but it still should get 1 more. FF12 should get a third mage to go with Ashe and Vayne, I guess someone from the DS sequel? FF15 only has 1 mage, Lunafreya and it's the only realm without a black magic user! FFT should get Reis since Montblanc is more of a support than a dps.

FF15 only had like 8 characters (and I'm sure most of you forgot Cor is even in the game.) So getting new character isn't really a issue for that realm, plus the game came out after FFRK.

I did a pull on FFXV to see if I could get Ardyn stuff. I got two Gladiolus dual awakenings, maybe I can sub30 Bahamut now?

Also don't forget to get Ravus' stuff from Kite's shop! It's 5/5/8 from the bat. Even if you don't plan to pull now he might be useful later if you grab bag his stuff.

I see, Strago is better than Arc if you can get his stuff though since he's got a 6 hit HA and better infusion options. His awakening 1 will be added to anima lens shop when it updates if you don't have it yet.

You don't use Strago for water? I'd be surprised consider how few water mages are in the game.

If you're going mage the best thing is to try and go as fast as possible before he silences your DPS characters and put them in slots that prevent them, or try to time the new realm chain so the astra prevents the silence (easier said than done because Ice Dragon uses sap a lot too.) One thing I did in phase two was use Kefka's USB with his awakening and Terra's wind USB and Awakening so they could go into phase 3 with chases on their attacks to try and kill Ice Dragon ASAP.

Also I would make Strago's HA, it's a 6 hitter and he's a chain holder, what's not to like?

I did a 15 mythril pull on FF15 and I got Aranea's sync! I tried FF15 Bahamut with her, Ardyn and Prompto and I got 37 sec, a cut down from my previous team of Gladious, Noctis and Ardyn of 47 secs. She gets her hero gear soon so maybe with that and some good RNG I can get that sub 30.

Tried her against dreambreaker Ifrit and yikes! She mauled him!

I also use Cait awakening first (well sync most of the time) and Mog glint+1 and then Mog awakening 2, I save Mog's awakening 1 for the end of the fight when both Cait's sync and awakening are time'd out.

You definitely want Orran's awakening for Wodin, and well everything you bring him for it. His sync is very good too but more for a full break counter and a last minute buff so it won't see as much use in elemental bosses.

Lissette is up there too with Cait/Mog/Orran.

Finally got around to sub30ing FF14 Bahamut!

Am I missing something about people saying this was an easy day 1 sub30? I had a lot of trouble getting the sub30 with awakenings and syncs for all 3 of my DPS. I was always 1-4 seconds short outside of this run because I had really good Papalymo RNG.

Orran's been my go-to physical support for geez like two years now (and he hasn't gotten any new relics since that fest which shows how godly he is) Even his BSB is still meta for the crit damage buff! All of his stuff is dream selectable and I think his sync is stampable in fests now too.

Yeah double Moogle is fantastic for mage teams, Cait's buff with Mog's full make and HA lets mages rip through nexus bosses (and Neo/Zero Bahamut when those come out) You might want Cait's USB2 as a backup since it gives last stand and regenra.

His Awakening 2 is a full break counter and give party quickcast until it runs out, and it also chases with a heal and ensuna. His glint+'s are also fantastic and his USB give the part a attack/mind/magic buff and quickcast as a back up. He leans towards mage though with his sync/HA/Awakening 1 but he can still work in a mixed team.

Yeah I think it's considered the second hardest being a neglected realm having to deal with that much HP. Only has 2 DPS mages too. Maybe 6 is harder without Kefka sync? I hear current Locke is pretty busted too. 12 or 15 might be as well since they're hodgepodge realms. Pretty crazy that FF1 was one of the first Bahamut released too and somehow people beat it day 1.

FF1 Bahamut is really hard though, he's got 5.5 million HP and he's bulky. I had to hone Master's awakening to beat him.

I also revisited FF3 Bahamut with CoD and Arc powered by hero gear and a second HA on CoD and I got the sub30 on him too! Sweet!

Pecil's damage is really poor, I have his awakening, sync and dyad and It couldn't get close to a sub30 with him. Dyad didn't even seem to matter because he never hit over 19999 anyway. Rubicante did better with just his awakening than him.

By the way are you gonna fight Armor Construct next? If you can beat FF4 Bahamut you can probably beat him too.

Maaan this was struggle. I only got the sub30 by luck, he's so bulky Rydia and Edge couldn't break king's rage (well Rydia sync 2 is an overstrike but that costs DPS) so I just had to go as fast as possible and kill him before Mega Flare.

I thought I could do the OP sync command 1+chain stonja with awakening trick Rydia can do with her earth sync with the water sync I got from the Trey/Rydia Dual Awakening banner, it works but it doesn't do much damage, or Bahamut is just that annoyingly bulky. It was better just to use her sync and awakening separately to get through phase 1 ASAP.

Just 11 now. Ugh if only I could get Zeid's sync!

Ugh this was still a rough one with how awkward these syncs and awakenings are. At first I was using Cait Sith with Quina's realm chain for phase 3 but I could never break king's rage, so I switched back to Mog so I can keep the high chain going and tried combining Vivi's sync and awakening but he could never break king's rage either. I felt stumped but I figured out Garnet could break king's rage if I combine her sync and awakening, even though that would lose the sync's triplecast goodness, and that finally got the job done!

Yeah Ultima Weapon is the rare case where the dreambreaker is harder than the Bahamut. He can be beaten easily with a mage team of Red XIII and Vincent with Cait Sith though.

I almost beat physical weak Alexander but I keep dying to sap, even when I'm using Sarah's USBs when the Alexander is in attack animation I feel like not doing one more pull on last fest to get Sarah's regenra & 3 turn quickcast was a major regret.

Shame I missed the sub40 but yeah he's definitely the easiest nexus boss so far, just be wary of his high damage in the first phase.

Either you need really busted recent syncs like Locke's, lots of cap break stack and dyad finishers or really, really good RNG. I only beat Snow Giant with lucky quadcasts with Trey and Master.

Awakenings are far from obsolete since they still provide infinite hones unlike syncs and Dual Awakening, plus some have chases, imperils, extra dualcasts ect.

You can dream select Aphmau awakening and/or sync if you don't want to use scrolls.

Yeah for some reason FF12 Bahamut is one of the most overtuned even though FF11 is one of the most neglected realms. He has 5.7 million HP, second highest after FF6. That's why I was trying to get Zeid's sync so badly since that's the best DPS in that realm.

And yeah Enkidu is one of the worst bosses in the game. He's too fast, bulky, hits very hard and imperils the party, and he slows. Only saving grace is that he doesn't use sap.

Also I know the game calls him Abductor but I always think of the purple generic enemy which is called Abductor and while the nexus boss is green.

Plus it kinda feels lame that a generic enemy is a superboss (yeah I already know Sandworm and Armor Construct are also generic enemies...) At least Enkidu is a character.

Man I remember when I 100 gem'd Josef's sync like a year ago and was super disappointed because I thought I would never use the guy, but I recently remembered I have that and his awakening, and his ultra is imperil + damage reflect and he's fast with a 6 hit hero abilty, and if you use his sync command twice it gives the party 100% crit. Even then I won on the last turn praying on a quadcast!

Just physical Salamander and the Alexanders left for Nexus bosses!

Well what makes Alexander easier is that he doesn't have the painting/orb BS the previous nexus bosses have he just has a second thing of damage reduction in phase 2 where he has a rage of 20 stacks, but each time you hit him with a cap break it also lowers the damage reduction. No micromanagement here just go ham and try to do as much as damage as you can!

If you have Red XIII Sync/Awakening and Cait awakening he actually works very well with them, I've seen him on Hell House teams.

Nexus Alexander is tomorrow, apparently he's one of the easiest Nexus bosses and we get a lower difficulty for a couple more rewards. Magic should be good with CoD, Raines and Naabat, physical... well I was hoping I'd get Zeid sync, but Sephiroth and Seifer with Kiros will hopefully do the job. If I need a character with two cap breaks I have Vayne or Ardyn if Kiros can't get the job done.

I used all 18 tickets on FF11 and I didn't get Zeid sync

Didn't get Lissette awakening/sync, Ayame Sync/Awakening or Shanttoto sync either! But the game gave me 5 Curillia syncs

I think the cutoff date was an event two or three weeks after last fest. I remember someone saying there's Dual Awakenings in the pool now.

I have 16 tickets going to FF11 in hopes of Zeid sync since that's probably the thing that could get me the Bahamut win. If I get it I'm gonna move onto FF1 to try and get Master's sync (and Thief and Meia's would be nice too.) After that probably FF8 to prepare for the Crystal Dungeon.

Aw maaaan I got Enkidu down to under 1% but I got maze gated! If only Trey had quadcast I would have won Man I wish Kiros' sync was dream selectable, I'm getting really tempted just to hone his awakening at this point.

I gotta say that's pretty sad that Kiros does better than Celes with just 1 cap break than she does with 3. Not sure if shows how good Kiros is or how bad Celes is. Maybe both? I think Kiros is gonna make my physical Alexander team with this performance.

Aw geez I still can't seem to beat physical Abductor even with a dual awakening ! UGH. What a bastard. Maybe I should just hone Sarah's awakening but I might put tickets into FF1 for Master's sync, and we might 10 dailies after maintenance.

Geez even with Trey's dual awakening this was still an RNG micromanagement fuck fest! This is one of the most irritating bosses in FFRK history with the bulk, interrupts, high damage, non infusion stuns, confuses and most of all that shitty last phase with barely any time to kill him!

Maybe CoD sync to for Nexus Alexander but apparently he's really easy I might not need it. Though there is a FF3 Labyrinth in the future so maybe.

I also combined Wedge sync and awakening in phase 2, with Serafae's imperil HA he cracked King's rage easily.

Core Bahamut is tonight, the final dragonking! I dunno if I can beat him day 1, I only have Wedge awakening/sync, Dr Mog awakening 1 and Serafae awakening. Maybe I'll have to try and beat phase 1 with only USBs I suppose.

i might do a pull on tonight's banner but I don't really want Biggs stuff since I'd rather go mage.
