It's pretty obvious that Onix was designed as an early game boss-type character, with little thought put in to how it could be used by the player later on. Then with later game generations, other than giving it an evolution, they never really fixed Onix, so it's just kinda in that weird limbo.

you see musicals in all other mediums (I can even think of at least one JRPG musical), but I do not know of any in anime

Does it annoy you when a mediocre anime (or what you view as mediocre) ends up having some undeserved praise and is raised above its quality?

Is it irrational for me and my wife to kinda hate Attack on Titan for taking the spotlight away from MUCH BETTER anime? I mean, I get that at the end of the day that some of it is subjective but like... SAO has this absolutely massive undeserved love in comparison to DOZENS of other isekai anime that are objectively better than it. And that pisses me off and I realize it is somewhat ridiculous but like... watch something better. Get better tastes. XD

I kinda feel the same way about AoT, but I've seen nothing but scorn online for SAO

also meh, people can like whatever they want, I usually just drop in with some obscure, esoteric recommendation myself
