nice dude. there is a pretty difficult boss in that area the further you go in.
Was it the twin gargoyle fight? Because that one almost went south mad fast after the second one joined the party, lol. Luckily the mimic tear and D lasted just long enough for the first gargoyle to go down.

I last left off at what I am assuming is a boss door at deeproot depths so I'm gonna' see whats all going on with this.

I love both of the Eternal Cities in Elden Ring. They look nice, some of the bosses are neat, and they're big.
The area is definitely gorgeousthats for sure. My favorite environments in video games tend to be the starry night snow level looking type areas (although in this game its underground in a cave but man it still looks cool), and I had the dark link battle theme from ocarina of time in my head the entire time during the mimic tear boss battle. (My clone beat me the first time since I went into it with a supped up nakiraba and moonveil and it obviously put better use to that stuff than I did, lol).

Currently trying to find the last torch or whatever to fight this spirit deer.

Yep, killed gostoc myself for his bell since I completely missed out on the items he sells during his extremely short stint as a merchant, lol. =/

I also like how the mimic tear got nerfed when I was at least 10 minutes away from obtaining it. (The last thing I did before the game booted me off for the update was beat the mimic tear boss fight).

Ah well, I beat this and get that plat I am off the stranger of paradise anyway so I'm not even that mad........well, I'm slightly mad that I did not get to experience uber strong mimic tear like everyone else, lol.

Dying light 2. Bought it digital (big mistake on my part. At least if it was the disc version I could have either took it back in that first week for a full refund or simply sold it later on) only to find out that after a hour or so its the "same ol same ol" from when I played dying light 1 years ago.

That 60 dollars could have went towards king of fighters or horizon (both of which I ended up skipping for now since I was getting elden ring).

Chrono cross. Friggin' hated that game compared to chrono trigger. My brother pre-ordered chrono cross and he still talks about how pissed he was about it to this day, lol. None of my close friends liked it either. The battle system, the pointlessly huge amount of optional party members with barely any personality to them, and the plot all was just mediocre. I will give cross this though....it has some nice tracks in the ost. Not the regular battle theme though screw that crap, but I like a lot of the emotional osts it has, the opening, ending, and that one emotional track that plays from time to time. (The one that carries over into the battle with that miguel dude).

As much as I did not liked the game I did beat it anyway though because I felt sort of bad for my brother and did not want to waste his purchase like that, lol.

The star ocean series in general is a interesting case for me in that while I do not mind the actual gameplay/battle system chances from game to game the actual stories is getting worse and worse. Star ocean 1's plot was fairly interesting for it's time, star ocean 2 was by far the peak of the series especially with the mid-game twist of the planet you are on freaking exploding, star ocean 3 took the plot off a god-damn cliff and the series never recovered from it. Star ocean 4's was eh, and star ocean 5's was so mediocre that a lot of people actually forgot this game exists.

I have a slight hope that star ocean 6 can bring back that so2 magic since its hinting at bringing back the two selectable protagonists thing, but I don't know, lol.

Seems like decisions can this can burn some bridges with friends if the minecraft dude/markus persson is anything to go by. One one hand, you are most definitely filthy rich now, is completely set for life and get to get into shenanigans like outbidding a celebrity power couple on a mansion or something. On the other hand, you can be completely isolated from the friend group that you created your small indie company with (maybe they either got screwed on the sell out or maybe they are just passionate about being a smaller team that for them selling is completely out of the question) and to get companionship you know host random influencer/celeb parties to "hang out" but everything is all like...shallow now since its obvious all these people don't give a shit about you as a person but is just hanging out because of your money.

Again with the minecraft dude, even with all that money he gives off that kind of impression of being depressed if his twitter is anything to go by. (Also, as a creative, you can become completely unmotivated after you sell your passion project IP and can come up with nothing else all after the fact).

That is a tough one....if you are a family man/woman then you have your family's future secured for sure. I would probably sell if I had a family, but no deal as a single person lol.

To be fair when it comes to alundra, alundra 2 was meant to be some other shitty game but had the name alundra slapped onto it in an attempt to boost sales probably. It backfired badly.

Had the actual final fantasy 2 been localized back in the day I probably would have said that also. I tried to play actual FF2 and just could not get into it.

The main thing I hope they improved is the framerate being stable (I haven't played this newest demo. The game is so close to release that I figure I could hold off while I finish up elden ring).

As much as I love elden ring, I admit I kind of had enough of the framerate kind of being all over the place playing the native PS5 version.

The original xbox for it's time had some amazing online console gaming. Sony was still messing around with having a network adapter add-on for the original PS2 model with 56K users being able to play alongside broadband users (which of course was laggy as hell) and the cube had a whopping all of like what, 3 games or so that actually used that network adapter. (PSO episode 1 and 2 which was amazing, but then its like phantasy star online episode 3 card battle and......that was kind of it).

Here comes the xbox with it's mandatory broadband requirement and unreal championship 1 n' 2, dead or alive ultimate, it's own version of phantasy star online episode 1 and 2, return to castle wolfenstein (which was leagues better than the PS2 counterpart. The PS2 could only muster just a single player campaign whereas the xbox version had two players co-op for the campaign and a 16 player online mode....which was fun as hell. Seriously I played return to castle wolfenstein for like, 8 months straight), rainbow six, splinter cell, halo 2, hell it even had a version of guilty gear x2 reload that was online capable....the input delay sucked all kinds of ass but dammit I was beating ass with anji online back in 2004/2005). Other online games I played on it was stuff like sega's spikeout and conker live and reloaded. (which was surprisingly fun for what it was. Assassins was a little too strong though).

The og xbox admittedly did not work too well as a "main console" since you would miss way too many of those good 1st/2nd/3rd party games that was on the PS2, but goddamn it was an amazing companion console, even more so because some of those western-made 3rd party games like psy-ops was so much better on the xbox compared to the ps2.

The xbox 360 was awesome back when xbox live arcade was all new and devs was figuring out that making cheaper digital releases like bionic commando-rearmed or porting old classics like doom n' castlevania symphony of the night = easy money. Indie dudes was also getting their start on there with stuff like dishwasher, shank, charlie murder and all that.

I do agree the xbox one was kind of a dud though. I bought one just to play gears of war 4 and that game was kind of a let down for me, =/

So it's gotten to the point of being excited by necks, huh?
My weeb self has read enough manga/seen enough anime and played that occasional jrpg to know that yeah, a lot of japanese get turned on by necks, lol.

There was even a neck fan-service scene in persona 5:

Yeah I got that all after the fact, but when I first went in there I was in derp mode.

We all have those bosses where we completely squash it in the first attempt compared to someone else. This just happened to be the one that didn't click for a bit for me anyway, lol.

I think its one of those build dependent things since I wouldn't say it was a walk in the park as a samurai/typical dex stuff. From what I remember reading sorceries melts him pretty easily, but I had to put in a bit of effort since I was using a uchigatana. Its also the fight that got me to finally try out bloody slash (which worked really damn well).

I think all I had for summons at that point was the wolves, the jellyfish, and a few of the other earlier ones, so yeah that one took me like 30 something minutes to finally kill it

It feels bad when you try to make a helpful message but for some reason gets rated poor. (I guess people sometimes think its a troll message despite you intending for it to help someone, lol):

(That is the wheel in the academy dungeon where if you actually run and jump on it, you can reach the other side and go down a path that leads to a talisman that negates non-fatal fall damage and a iron maiden enemy that transports you to volcano manor if it kills you......thanks patches, real helpful that area, lol)

My goofy taking on all at once looking at like 5 racks of spears with a crouching emote message gets nothing but appraise though.
