For sick leave, I kind of get it though. My job separates sick leave and vacation. Sick leave can't be planned in advance and if we take more than 3 sick days off in a row, the manager is allowed to ask for a doctor's note. But if we get injured and need to be off work for an extended amount of time, we can use sick leave for that.

So I only use it when I'm actually sick.

It really depends on the company. Back when my ex still worked at McDonald's, they were giving her 1 hour of PTO per 30 hours worked, which was about 5 days per year. Sounds about what you're getting if you have 5 weeks after 5 years.

Usually yeah. I work for the state of California and they put a soft cap on PTO now (you can go over the cap, but they make you sign a plan to reduce your saved PTO within a year).

The reason the added a cap is because they had some guys in high paying positions retire with like 20 years worth of PTO saved up and they had to pay them out for it. The state did not like that at all lol.

In my teens and early 20's yes. I was part of the NAACP youth league. And I also volunteered at Habitat for Humanity a few times. Not actually building houses, just helping direct crowds during events they had.

I can relate with boomer parents. My dad is 70 and he calls me over for so many small tech issues. Like, I shit you not, he called me over because his TV "wasn't working"... I get over there and... the remote was just out of batteries.

If it's a slice of life it would basically be built like a dating sim. You can do different things around the city that increase your stats. How much you can do per day depends on your stamina gauge (which can also be increased). You meet girls that are impressed by different things.

Oh okay, so you're still pretty early on. Great games, but make sure you pace yourself. Playing through 4 long games back to back will start to feel like a slog lol

Yeah, it's a shitty thing to do. The only thing I can think of is that they have that mentality of still trying to do everything they used to do, even though money is tight (so no sitter). Hopefully the next time you go to a movie, you don't have to deal with anything like that.

Eh, I played the game daily for like 3 months. I'm over it now lol. They need to add more to the gameplay if they want to retain players. The simplicity makes it easy to pick up and play, but it also gets stale, much faster than other Mobas.

And that membership seems like a waste of money.

The first one increased by $200. The second one increased by $300. Statewide rent control prevents that large of an increase now though

I think the problem is that the speed sonic is known for. The levels have to be long to account for how fast the player will be moving through them. But that would take a lot more development time if you had 15+ stages where sonic is moving at full speed the entire time. So they add in gimmicks to try to pad the gameplay out.

Not every visit no. It's easier now to just go during the off season. I don't have to wait for summer vacation or holidays to go, like when I was a kid.

I worked at McDonald's years ago. I would say only about 5% of the customers were terrible. But those definitely stick in your memory more than all of the other customers.

I think for the morning rush, that number was a bit higher. Like 10 or 15%. A lot of very impatient old people that go there for coffee. I swear some of them expected us to pull the coffee pot out while it was still brewing. I'm not about to burn my hands because your dumbass agreed to wait for more coffee to brew and then got upset about having to wait, 30 seconds later.

Yeah, I love the Superman ride. It accelerates so fast that you don't have time to worry about how tall it is. I avoid it though if the line is really long. It's way too short of a ride to justify a 2 hour wait lol.

I am yes. I haven't been since they rebuilt Colossus in 2015, but I would like to try it out. Maybe in the next year or so.

And I'm going to be honest, even though I love roller coasters, I have a fear of heights. So Lex Luther is terrifying to me. The slow climb up, and then that pause at the top

For me, I'd say Cedar Point because they have more big coasters.

But for family fun, Universal has a lot more options when it comes to rides that kids won't be terrified of.

Nope. I had an old PC from 2007 that I was using for torrents (to avoid getting a virus on my main machine). But I finally got rid of it in 2020. Made extra, extra sure to wipe the drives before factory resetting it and then I set it out by the curb. It was gone within a few hours lol.

For less than $500 you may as well go for a pre-built. Just look for something in the $250-$500 at like Best Buy or something.

Agreed. I especially hated how they handled Han in The Force Awakens. (Spoilers!) I expected him to die at some point in that movie, but they killed him in such a stupid way.
