If that was there I missed it: that's the sort of thing I was interested in. Would I be able to understand the images without a scientist interpreting for me? Certainly not...but otherwise the pictures alone are kind of underwhelming for me.

It's more the second half of my quote. Sure, the resolution is better, but it's doesn't really mean much more to me personally unless I see something that gives me a different understanding of the cosmos. Thus far I don't have that. Unfair expectation, sure, but that's my reaction.

Random thoughts:
1) I don't know what I was hoping for with Webb, but these pictures are more or less the same as Hubble pictures to me. Sure, further away and better resolution...but I wanted to see an exoplanet or alien or something. :)
2) The odds of anything being one-of-a-kind in a universe of near infinite size are zero. That includes life.
3) However, the fact that we've never seen or detected anything other than ourselves implies that the size of space will prevent us from ever meeting aliens in person. Space is fricken colossal. Insert *but what about UFOs* nonsense here.

My main peeve is when people drive in the left lane at the same speed as a vehicle in the right lane. If you want to drive at that speed, use the lane that's going that speed...dagnabbit.

One of my first posts there got auto-modded because I had a space included at the start of some text I quoted. Or maybe I didnt include a space they wanted me to haveI forget.

Either way, it was the dumbest thing ever. I told the moderator that was a really stupid rule if they were hoping to continue to pull in new people. They agreed. Nothing changed.

It had something to do with trying to maintain a new and old Reddit at the same time.

It's a classic cheesy action movie at it's best. Not quite as cheesy as 80s action, but not far off. There was no idea or subplot too out of place to jam in there.

That makes it about 7/10.

We make scrapple on every big family holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter) for breakfast and both the kids/adults love it. Excellent.

I couldn't really imagine piling scrapple on top of a burger patty (with egg), but I could imagine it being excellent with an egg in a burger bun. Maybe a really thin patty.

Absolutely not; one would be one too many.

But it would be sitcom comedy gold. Particularly if, say, there was someone caught in the background of the screen who couldn't move or leave until the cheese was consumed.

Perhaps it is and I haven't had the variety you're referring to...but I suspect I would still prefer almost any other type of cheese. And I don't really need cheese to begin with: I view hamburgers as onion and jalapeno (pickle if you have no jalapeno) delivery units.

Sadly I didn't have a big problem with that one. One characteristic of the far right (and, to be fair, far left at times) is holding beliefs that are factually wrong (stolen election, anyone?) so asking for opinions of certain facts is a reliable way to identify them.

To a boss, I would definitely say "Sure, but why do you ask?" or something. "How come" isn't always going to come across as polite.

"For what" sounds short also, yes. I would be most likely to say "I'm in the middle of something, can it wait?" ...or just walk over without saying anything. It depends a bit who's asking, though.

And the point of my example was really to point out that the phrase doesn't really make sense, which is an occasional pet peeve of mine. :)

Sausage and egg. No cheese. The bacon is too thin under all of the egg (and especially cheese, if you can stand american cheese) for optimal flavor: it needs a more substantial sausage patty.

If using bacon: make it yourself and skip the McD part. :)

The controls themselves aren't terrible when compared to other SNES games, but riding friendly animals is usually awkward, sequences of bounces are awkward - the timing is odd graphically, etc. It requires a fair amount of brain adjusting.

Not a bad game (especially for the time) but irritating to adjust to.

My 10-yr-old daughter just discovered that and loves it. I say the controls suck and - worse - you can't see far enough to react to what's coming at you. But I can't deny it looks amazing for a SNES game.

Yeah, you can't have a really complicated (fun) game without some asymmetry, usually. Or historic war game.

My favorites: Twilight Struggle, Paths of Glory, Washington's War, maybe the more recent A&As.
