Not sure where you live but where I'm from giving cash means supporting their drug addiction. Cant tell you how many times I or people I know have replied to homeless "I cant give you cash but I can buy you something in this store (like 2 steps away from where they are asking)". Their answer is "fuck you, I just want money". There are also lots of homeless shelters that provide food, a place to sleep and even restaurants that allows homeless people to be your waitress and they get paid. Only caveat is to stay clean of drugs, and even then they help you "get clean" by giving you drugs for free (a smaller amount each time) so they dont quit in cold and suffer side effects. It sucks to be homeless but the ones typically asking for money ONLY or harrasing people are probably there because they choose to do drugs. --- Go and watch Ef ~ A tale of memories now! |
