Honestly Mipha in Breath of the Wild saved my ass so many times that I just immediately thought of her.

I felt they pretty much ignored the Sheikah altogether until Breath of the Wild. There was like 2 real Sheikah in the series before that.

I still don't know why they did that to that series. Nobody asked for it, and almost nobody has liked the changes. If they made another just like The Thousand Year Door it would be a huge hit.

I can't think of another company that sits on more valuable IPs that just get wasted than Nintendo.

I bought my 2014 Dodge Ram in 2017 for $22000. I could sell it today for $30000 easily. One of my biggest fears right now is having something go wrong with it.

I liked Spirit Tracks better, but both are absolute bottom tier Zelda games. 2007 to 2012 were truly the worst years for the Zelda franchise.

Moosh was my favourite but honestly looking back none of them were all that great. Usually I just stick with Ricky since he's unlocked by default, the others require you to do a bit of sidequest work.

Dimitri was nearly useless in Seasons, in Ages there's a lot more water that he can swim in.

No diagonal movement and the only sword attack is a stab. It feels extremely unnatural. Even the Game Boy Zeldas put the original to shame in terms of controls.

Every time I hear the arguments on why the original Legend of Zelda didn't age well, they usually boil down to "The game doesn't hold your hand like modern games do".

It litterally came with an overworld map packed in with the cartridge, and most dungeons guide you to the map and compass just like in newer games. It is a game about exploration yet it still guides you to where you need to go. There are plenty of old NES games that didn't age well (Metroid), Legend of Zelda isn't one of them.

The controls for the original Zelda are terrible. There's a dungeon that is hidden under a random bush you need to burn, with no indication given that you need to do that. Very few people found that on their own.

It hasn't aged well at all.

I received my first raise in 8 years last month. It was 0.5%. Compared to 8 years ago, buying power for my salary is down about 25%. It's inexcusable.

Nearly everything on the NES. Super Mario Bros 3 is one of the only NES games that has held up.

Also, almost everything on the N64. The two Zelda games are still excellent.

I tried it back in 2016, it was decent. Thank the LA Beast on YouTube, he was basically single handedly responsible for its return. Absolute legend.

Listen to the dungeon tracks. Or Subrosia (which would be okay if they gave it some more variety).

Tarm Ruins is a very notable exception, that one absolutely slaps. But most other tracks in that game are really bad.

The Oracle games could use a remake. I started replaying Seasons the other day, it's pretty dated.

Another weird observation I had was that the music was unbelievably bad in that game. There's a very noticeable difference between the tracks they reused from Link's Awakening and the new tracks they made. A remake would be better off changing most of the soundtrack rather than trying to reorchestrate it.

I'm 99% sure you're Canadian. You can get a free PO Box through Canada Post, it's called Flex Delivery. In my town, it's at one of our Shoppers Drug Marts. When your parcel arrives, you get an email delivery notice letting you know. I just go in, show them the delivery notice, and they give me my package.

Most things on Amazon will ship to a Flex Delivery box, but some things won't. Amazon tells you before check out whether or not it'll deliver to that address. It seems to be random, but it works like 90% of the time.

It's what happens when a culture prioritizes sensationalized bullshit over intelligence or integrity.

Too many fucking people treat their democratic duty to vote the same way they treat picking a sports team to root for. People are seemingly getting dumber (or, at very least, are more easily falling for misinformation), which is making defending the institution of democracy more and more of a tough sell.

The punchline was great but the build up was too long to be worth it.

GameGrumps has mostly suffered from YouTube's garbage expectations for content creators. Peak GameGrumps was 2014 to 2016, after Jon left. In recent years they've been harmed by playing games that aren't particularly interesting, by excessive self promotion, and by having to change their format to meet advertiser rules.

Jon makes like 4 videos a year. People generally don't unsubscribe from channels that produce little content. His white supremacist views that he's shared away from his channel didn't really offend his fans that much.

I don't know why Jon has more subscribers. I also don't really care.

OoT is the only randomizer I've ever liked tbh

Might have something to do with the very central open hub form of that game, gives a lot more flexibility for a randomizer. Other randomizers have felt like a chore.
