Since New Year's Day falls on a Sunday in 2023, most places will get Monday, January 2nd off instead. So what should I write on my calendar?

I think they are jut fifty cals with long barrels, suppressors on a sniper rifle are often unnecessary.

I'm guessing those are 20mm anti-materiel rifles. The Finns used a similar rifle, the L-39, in WWII against the Soviets. They were big and heavy (50 kg), but they were very effective against light armor and aircraft.

On the other hand, you want to refrigerate some oils like sesame oil because it will make them last much longer.

Eggs should be kept in the fridge in the US, but in Europe they're usually kept at room temperature. That's because they wash eggs prior to market in the US; that damages the outer cuticle that seals out bacteria so the eggs have to be refrigerated. In Europe they don't wash the eggs, so they can be safely kept at room temperature for up to 21 days!

What else do people refrigerate unnecessarily?

I have two bottles of ketchup, one says refrigerate after opening, the other does not. The mayo says to refrigerate after opening. Peanut butter usually doesn't require refrigeration, unless it's all-natural (i.e., the kind you have to stir). And the bottle of maple syrup that I have also says to refrigerate after opening.

Things you should never store in the refrigerator:

Honey: it will crystalize faster
Bananas: the cold will stop ripening & make the peel turn dark
Coffee: will lose its flavor and pick up bad odors
Onions: will turn soft
Tomatoes: will stop ripening and turn mealy
Bread: You can freeze bread, but putting it in the fridge make it go stale faster

(You can put bananas in the fridge, but you have to let them ripen at room temperature first. Once they reach your desired level of ripeness, THEN you can refrigerate them and they will stay at that level longer than at room temp. But if you stick green bananas in the fridge, the skin might turn brown but it will be unripe on the inside.)

This is an actual house. To get to the bedrooms you have to go through the bathroom. One of the bedrooms has no windows (and no way to escape in a fire). The garage has no door into the house. Be careful when parking or you'll take out the closet in the master bedroom. There is no bathroom in the master bedroom.

It rained this morning, but not too much. I went for a walk shortly after it stopped, it was pleasant and breezy. Mowed the lawn in the afternoon and it wasn't too hot, high of 77F A chance of thunderstorms the next couple days, then sunny with temps climbing steadily each day, hitting a high of 95 Tuesday. Then a cold front blasts through with highs dropping to 69 Thursday. Nice.

The safety shoes can be harmful if they have a steel plate and caps, they wick heat away from your feet, I ended up wearing non safety boots rated to minus 120 with the chemical footpads tossed in every couple of hours. Would have been on me if I got my foot run over, but my feet were warm.

That's what composite toes are for. They can be made of Kevlar, carbon fiber, plastic, or fiberglass and are 30% lighter than steel toes. They're also electrically and thermally non-conductive, and won't set off metal detectors.
