he can think, but his hearing is going out on him. he used to be a suicide hotline operator which i think it fantastic. but he had to give it up cause he cant hear well anymore. i think he's doing something with rape victims now.

He's always been affiliated with RAIN with his friendship to Tori Amos. That's was the org he helped with the suicide hotlines.

They have released footage of a guy breaking traffic laws.

They are defending themselves by saying he was putting peoples' lives at risk when they deployed a literal taser at a gas pump and putting every single innocent person at that station in danger.

Source: The same police force that shot a taser at a gas station. And the same police force that refuses to give any sort of body cam footage or information regarding this cluster fuck.

The video is ridiculous. It's perfectly normal right until the cops show up and try to murder that poor guy/put multiple bystanders in harm's way.

I thought the options were a T-rex armed with a grenade launcher or a hippo armed with a shotgun.

1. Son brandishes a weapon with aggressive intent on a neighbor's door.
2. When confronted by the neighbors and told there is video evidence, the father brandishes a firearm on someone who is leaving his property
3. The father either intentionally or unintentionally discharges his firearm on his front porch, and according to the video, his daughter was right behind him.

So yes, his children should be taken away because this is obviously not a safe home for them to be raised in.

The clinched fist pounding at the beginning of the video with the whip in hand was terrifying to see. The video said the father was arrested so hopefully CPS comes and takes the kids.

Denzel called him out on it for his Crimson Tide rewrites.

Would loved to have been on set to see that.

Yeah, that's what I don't get about some people's arguments. Dave didn't like how some white people were reacting to one of his sketches, I think the pixie sketch, and that was one of the catalysts for him taking a break from the show.

And I guess I'll never understand the argument that "Well you laughed at his work when he made fun of x-group but now it's an issue with the trans-community!" because....

Well, everything he did with The Chappelle's Show and his stand-up never led me to believe he hated any of those groups. All of his jokes and humor had a sense of warmth behind it if that makes sense? What does the UK say? Taking the piss? It always felt like that. It was all based on a ridiculous premise meant to be light-hearted on the surface.

When he made fun of white people, Asian people, black people, Hispanic people, gay people, rich/poor, young/old, etc... it felt like everyone was invited in to make fun of everyone else.

With his earlier specials, I was kinda thinking his trans-jokes were going in that direction of a "new" group to invite in and make jokes with but now it's just brow-beating and rants. It's devoid of that warmth that's sorely needed for this type of comedy and made him the genius he was.

And of course, the whole doubling-down rants, yelling at literal children who are a generation you were previously putting up on a pedestal, and TEAMTERF just kinda confirm everything.

I just googled South Korea's age of consent because of Neon's post, and it said 20.

I wonder if it'll change to 19 or remain the same.

19 is the standard age limit for smoking, drinking, R-rated movies, voting, etc... So I wouldn't be surprised if it was grouped in with those things and kept at the standard age 19.

Our ages/birthdates are not changed when we immigrate to Korea. Our ID cards reflect our non-Korean ages. The only time my Koreanized age is needed is when someone asks me what my Korean age is in casual conversation.

The only people this affects are Korean citizens.

This is going to make things so much easier here.

That's probably the least worrisome part of teaching in the US though.

The only "negative" side to that is that the kids default to calling you that after they are no longer your students. Like when they are out of high school and they come back to visit or see you out in public and they go back to the Mr/Ms/Mrs nomenclature.

Korean fried chicken is a lot lighter and far less greasy. They have a crazy amount of toppings and sauces too.

It wasn't even that. The owners of the NY Liberty thought it was bullshit that WNBA players don't get chartered flights like their NBA counterparts. So they paid out of their own pocket to charter flights for their team.

This wouldn't have been an issue if other team owners would do it. But not too long ago the league had Kelly Loeffler's racist ass as a team owner so it's not like the league actually cares about the players.

Meanwhile one of my school's foreign boy students got in a fight with a Korean boy student after the latter hit a girl.

The science teacher is currently thanking the foreign boy for sticking up for the girl while tearing the Korean boy to shreds.

This works for two different people.

I used to work with a principal who started at the school the same year I started teaching.

He was there for like...a year and a half before it found out that he had slept with a couple of students from the other county high school when he was a teacher there.

I can't remember exactly what happened. I think the two girls found out about each other and then started posting about it on social media not to out the piece of shit but because they were both still in love with him (gross).

The school suspended him, with pay, but he never got arrested. I'm not sure if the parents never pressed charges or if they just didn't have any evidence. Anyway, he ended up suing the school system to pay for the rest of his contract and they had to pay however much it was worth. Disgusting to say the least.

Rich white kid and the victims are people of color.

Wondering how this will turn out...

They had a code of standards. They always have. During the Red Scare, the Academy blacklisted and refused to acknowledge quite a few in the business for being suspected of communist activities.

They updated that code of standards and kicked Weinstein out in 2017. Polanksi and Cosby weren't kicked out until 2018.

Make sure you watch Mad Men either before or after you play the game. A lot of the actors from the show are in the game.

And don't go in expecting RDR or GTA style gameplay. A lot of people were disappointed in it when it first came out because they expected that stuff.

Lastly, make sure you get the DLC episodes if they are available. They are short but fantastic add ons

This was common knowledge by everyone and in that span up until the #MeToo movement, his movies were nominated for 14 Oscars, Polanski himself was nominated for 3 and won 1.

It wasn't until 2018 that they finally expelled him from the Academy.
It took them a week to ban a black man ten years for slapping someone.

That's just one example of why people are bringing up race. They dragged their feet for forty years to expell a wanted pedophile (who they awarded in that time frame) but had no issue rushing to ban Will for ten years.

Should he have gotten punished? Sure. But 10 years? That's 1/4 the entire time they gave a pass to Polanski.

When DaBaby went on his homophobic rant about gay people, T.I. defended him.

He basically said "Y'all wanna tell us to be tolerant to gay people but then where's that tolerance we talk about our views" or something to that extent.

T.I. is a very very stupid man. And a monster to boot.

Love them but was sad when they said they never socialize outside of the shows.
