| Itachi157 07/17/22 6:48:27 PM #21 | It seems some people think all politicians in a country with universal healthcare etc are by default to the left of pretty much all American politicians, but a lot of those politicians would absolutely get rid of all those safety nets if it was at all feasible in their countries to do so. So yeah, Shinzo Abe/Boris Johnson etc aren't automatically to the left of/equivalent to Bernie and AOC. I think this also creates the misconception of "Bernie would be right wing in a European country!" because right wing European politicians aren't campaigning to get rid of public healthcare. It's just that once certain things get put into place, it's no longer feasible politically to try to do away with them. It would be election suicide. |

For example I know my parents would always listen to whatever I had to say and support me no matter what, same for a couple of friends. But not everyone has people like that in their lives. |

Ive seen a couple episodes, it was kinda meh. Me and a few friends have gotten into playing the new Digimon CCG and they are watching Ghost Game because of that, and they keep telling me its good. So I figure Ill give it more of a chance. I really loved the first three series as a kid, especially Tamers, but I never really got too deep into Digimon beyond that, besides the new card game thats kind of giving me a little bit of renewed interest in it. In fact Id kind of credit Tamers for helping me to get deeper into anime as its one of the first series I got into enough to seek out online discussion of it, and through that I ended up discovering a lot of new stuff. |

And apparently it's pretty popular in Japan so if Japanese popularity isn't getting it more anime then I doubt more overseas fans would do the trick, but I can dream. I should finally just read the manga which I've been meaning to do for like a decade. teep_ posted... I'm not much of a horror guy, but the manga has some of the best usage of jump scares I've come across. I hope you enjoy reading it! I enjoyed the anime so I imagine I will. I was peeking through the early volumes and I think in like volume 3 it was already close to the end of the anime content, so I should get to new stuff pretty fast. I'm going to start from the beginning though. |
