Anyways, last note: Relating MZero's assessment of SBell today.

There are two things SBell primarily did today: Call Chris scum, and call Ben third party. He did this multiple times each.

Also, SBell flipping scum makes it less likely that Sultan is. Not that I scumread Sultan anyway.

It gives scum a reason not to vote. It neutralizes a town vote. It can be used many ways. Especially if you can freeze a town vote onto a mislynch.

There is one other use for it I just thought of: Use it like a paralyzer, never put it on anyone until the very end of the game, and hope it works.

Oh I do have a question for you MZero.

Practically everyone yesterday gave a town/scum read on me except for you.

What exactly were you thinking?

And I'm not disparaging MZero we know he's town.

I'm more just saying "Man, SBell's role sucked."

The only thing I'd do on a scumteam with that role is repeatedly target the same member of my scumteam every night for WIFOM.

Like, that is the limit of it's usefulness.

Also Mzero, I haven't played mafia in years, not that I'm making excuses for myself, but I'm doing 3xactly what I've always done in mafia games and I've sussed out plenty of scum in my days. I'm sorry you are mistaken this game. I've been present, I'm not sure what more I need to do for you. I am doing for me.

Well Mzero not coming back last night really hurts his credibility... I get maybe got home from work and couldn't play but with that gambit like that taking your time to come out with any intel you have seems pretty sketchy.

The best way to mention you even have a scan is after ~12-24 hours have already passed in the day.

I at the moment think its likeliest (sp?) scum /3rd party. and I don't like having to sort out 3rd parties near end game (unless they are me because I've won many a games with town and with scum as 3rd party).

I do not like the statement that Ben was likely scanned by scum and that's the reason everyone js talking about it. what kind of remark is that. we have been presented with more than enough in game evidence to show a 3rd party is likely and Ben's course of action all game so far has teetered around it being him.

So now the ball is back in Mzero's court but I will note I will be displeased if we stalled day for this long for an Mzero gut check.

Pretty much. If SBell was going to claim anything that may throw a scan off, he'd have claimed it by now.

And with way, way too many people bringing up third party on little to no evidence (Chang and Sultan need to be killed), there is no way scumslips havent happened already.

Ben is pretty obviously town or third party. Chris is town or mafia. They are only scum together if theyre pulling off a gambit where the host is allowed to lie to people, but this would involve scumslips from both players. Thats the part Im not buying.

People are calling Ben third party because it's a really easy thing to do right now. No one really thinks he's scum, so it's the only way to call him "not town"

But for as aggressive as Ben was with his voting and as random as his reads seemed to be at points yesterday, he was decidedly not aggressive later in the day, when it would've been more in his best interests to be.

For Ben to be 3P basically requires that he played day 1 poorly, and got away with it.

The Chris/Ben alignment argument is honestly pointless until one or both flips or gets scanned. Those two are too good to truly slip up as scum.

Actually it looks like we peaked at 10 total votes, not 11. Was slightly off.

Some interesting votes in a short timeframe there. We had people willfully breaking the tie and other people trying to bring the tie back at the same time.

Speaking of last night: The fact that Ben and I were not lynching each other when we were combined for 11 votes is wild.

That'd be one hell of a play for an Indy Ben to make. Self preservation is not scummy. Voting me was perfectly justifiable in his position.

While I'm certainly not in love with, well, just about anything IGCD has done this game, he started off day 2 weakly shading three of the most vocal players, right after a mislynch he had arguably the scummiest vote on.

I'm not sure scum IGCD wants that smoke. Town IGCD doesn't give a crap.

Fun fact: IGCD was the only player to vote on all 4 of the top lynches.

The problem I have reading Bat is still the same though. I don't think he was lying about the overall vibe of the game turning him off.

What we actually have gotten out of him has been bad, though.

They added two late games to this bundle, so if you got it early, go back and claim them now.

Which is amusing to think about given I mentioned earlier I don't fake scans specifically to keep my credibility as a player.

The possibility that Chris is scum playing me because he knows the kind of treatment I respond to is always in the back of my mind. I react to hostility with hostility and perceived insults with defiance. Like he said day 1: Try diplomacy with me, as it works wonders.

Constant vigilance etc.

We have no idea what MZero was thinking in FFXIV day 2 because he spent day 2 pretending to be dead, so we have no frame of reference for it.

I wholly don't believe he's lying town though. He's not the type.
