Personally, I got a PS4 Pro and the only feature of it that I really give much of a crap about compared to the normal PS4 is the larger hard drive. Which I could always have just upgraded on my own anyway. So if I were to get a PS5, I almost certianly wouldn't wait for the Pro. (For that matter, I'd also get the discless version, because in my entire time owning a PS4 I have used the optical drive exactly once, to play a DVD.)

Mind you, I don't have a 4K TV that it can actually output a 4K signal to...

I figured I'd wait to see reactions (more so from actual players than review sites) based on how R* had gone a lot down the greedy route lately, and said reactions quickly suggested this was the right move.

I might grab it if I see it really cheap at some point, but honestly, despite that I was looking forward to it, I don't think it's overly likely I'll ever actually grab it.

Deaths tend to lag behind cases, sometimes significantly so. Very few people are found to be a case and die of it at the same time, they usually die a few weeks later after treatment fails them.

One past case of mine that I'll never stop bringing up in these kind of topics, was when someone else posted a topic with "f***" in the title (back when you could only give the first letter or the length, not both), I replied to it with a post that contained zero censor bypasses, and got modded for censor bypass and it was upheld by both the original mod and the admin.

I don't usually bother with capitalization for most things in chat-type contexts (Discord, Messenger), etc. I put a tad more effort in on forums though.

Though this only applies if I'm on my PC, since my phone autocorrects the caps in anyway.

There was a Spelunky daily challenge where I was #1 on PSN once (as in actually held that position when the day ended). I also held a top 10 (but not #1) spot for something in Stealth Inc at one point.

When I picked up N Sane Trilogy, I certianly got through it far quicker than I did back in the day. I also was able to get all platinum relics across all three games without too much trouble aside from a few particularly nasty levels (Stormy Ascent and Hog Ride* in particular), and got Gold on my first successful time trial run on all but one level (Hot Coco), whereas when I was younger I struggled to even get a lot of the golds.

*this is the first motorbike level in Crash 3; not one of the actual hog-riding levels in Crash 1! Everyone always seems to get mixed up by this.

I mean, I'm not gonna try and argue with someone who's strong enough to literally lift an entire fucking shop, aye.

It's already been out for a couple of weeks. If you don't like the show, you won't like the movie, but if you do like the show, you'll love it - except for the opening song which felt very off, it really does feel like an extra-long, high-effort episode.

I read a news article, which talked about how others were talking about how the pictures of the slain bodies should be shown the public, because it would bring awareness. The way you worded the original post sounds like you're talking about the bodies themselves, not just photos thereof. It wasn't until your later posts clarifying it that I realised you meant photos.

I haven't tried. I just checked availability at a few stores here and it seems, the only consoles available are the Xbox Series S and the Switch, and refurbished PS4s (and a refurb PS4 Pro costs only $50 less than I paid for a brand new one about 5 years ago). The Series X was in stock a while back but seems to not be anymore.

But yeah, neither is really a high priority for me anyway. I've got my eyes more on the Aya Neo 2 than anything else.

While omicron is more contagious, it's also less severe. When you compare the data of cases and deaths of omicron and the original variant you see a significant decrease in deaths. Vaccination of course, is a factor in reduced deaths as well.

My understanding is that at this point, it's believed that the reduction in severity is completely down to vaccinations and past infections, and that for someone without these benefits, Omicron is comparable to the original strain (though less severe than Delta, which was particularly bad).

On a normal-length shift (8.5 hrs including breaks), I get two paid 15 minute breaks and one unpaid 30 minute break. On the rare occasion I do a shorter shift (under 6hrs), that changes to one paid 15 minute break + the unpaid 30 minute break. Theoretically if I picked up a shift that was 4hrs or less it'd just be the one 15 minute break (still paid), but I would probably never pick up a shift that short.

Omicron still has a relatively high risk of catching it even if both people involved are vaccinated and have had previous infections. Lower than if one or both aren't, but not enough to say "you probably won't catch it".

Not really. I've got my three shots, I've had it at least once (possibly twice, but the second time I only realised it in hindsight so never had a test to confirm it, and if this is correct the second time was milder than the first which was already more just annoying than anything else). The biggest impact it's likely to have on me is that I'll need time off work if I (knowingly) catch it again, or else that I might have to pick up extra shifts to cover others who catch it, and in the former case, my job pays full wages without taking out of sick leave for anyone isolating with covid so it's more just the "nothing to do" aspect that's a problem. And yeah, these are very far from critical.

The majority of times it's happened, outside of deliberate account suicides. I have one on my history right now that one mod tried to defend similar unmoderated posts by saying "context matters" while another mod didn't even take context as far as reading the entire post (let alone any others) when claiming it was justified.

A few that really were justified have happened; most of them NKLs.

Depends on the specific values in question. There are some that are perfectly fine to have different views on, there are some where the "American" view is objectively right, there are also some where the "American" view is objectively wrong.

There are very, very few examples, even among the most serious contenders imaginable, of people who are purely bad; let alone among mostly-average people who buy into some fucked up shit.

The easiest way to prove post 2 would be to take the bullets used on the victims and compare them with the cops weapons as well as the perpetrator.

And who would be doing that comparison?
