As a bit of action spectacle, Into Darkness is okay.

Thats pretty much the only thing it has going for it.

Id probably be more forgiving if it didnt shove in the Wrath of Khan references and just made Cumberbatch a new character. And if they took out the stupid fake Kirk sacrifice just for him to be brought back to life 2 minutes later by Khans magic blood.

But as much as I complain about it, I cant bring myself to hate it because its a very well executed action movie.

Rewatching the NuTrek movies and its shocking how stupid the script is for Into Darkness. Im curious to know how people can say this is the best one.

And to clarify, Id rather watch Into Darkness over movies like Generations or Nemesis because it looks amazing and the action is well done. But its the worst Star Trek story of them all for me.

The giant sausage in space was Picards mother all along.
