This morning

...one of my classmates was downright adamant that he could get through the crust and reach the mantle of the Earth with just a shovel. Even when the teacher told him he couldn't he was like "I'm gonna go home and get started tonight", like he was almost mad that she told him he wouldn't be able to do it. >_>

The next few days when we kept asking him he said he had started in his yard but his dad wouldn't let him go any further, otherwise he'd be able to. lol kids are so dumb.

Next question, are the majority of cooktops/stoves gas in America? As I said in another post I've never had a gas cooktop. In fact I have never had any gas connection to my places, it's only been electric. Electric stovetops, heating, etc.

It varies. Probably about 50% give or take just from my experience. I personally have only an electric one and my hater is also electric. But my parents have gas stoves and from the other places I've lived and other people I've visited I'd say it's been about half have gas and half only have electric.

I personally prefer just going with electric, it gets the job done and I don't need another utility to pay.

gotcha. at the end of the day we just throw water in the microwave for stuff like that. normally doesn't take any more than a couple of minutes if you're starting out with already hot water so just no real need for it.

most places where fireworks are even legal are only really sold in a limited window around 4th of July (and New Years) so that's not really something you can just do on a whim on a random summer day.

Honestly I don't either. But I accept it's super ingrained into our pop culture and has a massive fanbase so generally I just stay out of discussions because I don't want to come off like a hipster and rain on people's parades. But personally I have to mentally force myself to stay awake watching those movies, they're just boring to me. I think the first time I ever disappointed my dad was when he tried to get me to watch them as a kid for the first time and I told him I didn't like it and asked to watch something else. And then in his computer room I see he has what seems like every star wars book released at the time and a storm trooper paperweight so he had to come to terms that his kid hated his favorite franchise and wasn't going to be able to share the love he had for it with me lmao.

The games were fun though, namely Battlefront 2 and KOTOR.

I know it's not easy to go "try being in a relationship" but relationship sex is way better. It helps you get more comfortable when it's someone you have a connection with than a stranger. I personally never really liked one night stands, I'd rather just rub one out and move on with my day than bang a stranger.

mostly financial reasons or job reasons. Sometimes to move closer to family

The band and show were incredible but the audience were largely intolerable. The two main examples being shouting over intricate instrumental sections and the biggest cheer of the night coming from them being allowed to take their phones out and record the final song.

Same, but I went in February. There was a couple that brought their daughter sitting in the seats next to me and my wife and the mom was obviously hammered. She couldn't stop bragging about how she took her daughter to her first concert. Which I get being excited to be able to do that for your kid, but you don't have to be obnoxious about it. To make matters worse, after the opening act finished it turns out they were in the wrong seats when the real people in those seats showed up and left. Dunno if they ever found their right seats lol. Felt bad for the kid more than anything to have to deal with that on your first concert ever

The game Vampire: the Masquerade - Bloodlines, there is this haunted hotel level that is kinda like The Shining type shit. And all sorts of weird shit happens and a ghost follows you and the doors shut behind you, etc. That shit scared me when I first played through it.

I've had this game on Steam for years and never once played it. I really need to boot that thing up one day. I also have both Amnesia Dark Descent and Machine for Pigs that I need to play which I've heard were both pretty scary too.

Idk why but Metroid Prime scared me in two parts. The time the lights go out and the Metroids all break out of their glass in the research lab. And also, before you ever fight Chozo Ghosts, one of them briefly appears in front of you in a dark hallway and phases through the wall. There was no real warning for it so kid me got pretty spooked

Upon further introspection, is the 1st Borderlands game enough of an RPG to count for this? Because if so I'll probably have to change my answer to that.

I never see or hear this guy talked about anywhere but here lol

Yeah I'm sure there'd have to be a conversion rate like there is for different real life currency. Maybe each game's currency would have their own rate, like in games where money is just far too easy to farm it wouldn't convert as well but in games where it's not just lying around everywhere it would translate better. Like every million or so translates to a dollar. Do some heavy earning mission and then go eat your well earned burger or something? Or pull an all nighter to pay the water bill on time lol would be a crazy world to live in

I mean, for both my water and electricity bill I have level-billing enabled, but they only allow you to do that if you've had service for at least 12 month and you have to opt-in to it. They take a rolling average of your last 12 months and you pay that, so that way you can plan your budget better and won't have wild fluctuations month to month.

But they still check your meter every month to keep the rolling average accurate and still record your actual usage on your invoice. I've never heard of them not checking the meters every month, that sounds sketchy as all hell and I question the legality of it

they should be checking your meter every month and if that's the case they should know how much you owe already.

makes it out of line. You don't go on national TV and make specific claims against someone like that when all you really have to go on is he believes in God lol. I just looked up that speech and only like 2 of those rules had anything to do with God and were pretty benign. Just "God loves you" and "learn to pray" the rest were pretty silly stuff like put your dog's medicine in a hamburger so he'll eat it and stuff like that.
