Yes. Twice specifically.

The first was during some kind of Boy Scout event (one of my brothers' events). I was a kid, I'd seen Short Circuit, and I wanted to reenact the bit where Number 5 jumped on a grasshopper, so I jumped on a frog. The people around me gave me shit about it, and I regret that to this day.

The second one was a pet bird I got for one of my birthdays. I was ill-suited to having my own pet, and that poor bird put up with a lot of mistreatment and neglect before it died. I was a bad pet owner and I've had reservations about getting a pet of my own since then.

What do you do when a game shows you something and you don't quite get it?

I was browsing a game sale and saw Judgement on there. I tried starting it a month or two back, but there was something about wall kicking that I just didn't get the hang of pulling off. I stopped playing a short time after that because it's probably important.

I just wonder what you all do in that situation.

I've been trying to remember the name of an arcade game, but I'm not having much success. It would help if I knew the name of the game it was based on - take over tiles by either creating another piece next to you or moving one of your pieces next to your opponent's, thereby capturing the space. I remember the game had multiple bad guys to compete against, which essentially stood for the CPU difficulty level. I could have sworn one of them was named Muck Man and another was called Colony, but Google doesn't turn up any results. Do any of you know what game this was?

Preach it. One of the low points of my young adult life was having to clean up a wall behind a women's toilet. I didn't sign on for it, really. I was supposed to be in men's accessories, but then they moved me to package pickup, and from there they gradually added maintenance duties.

We already are in the infancy of fusion power. We've been making fusion reactions for a long time, and if ITER works as well as computer models suggest it will then in 5 years we'll have a fusion test plant that can produce significantly more energy than is needed to run it.

Why you'd be terrified of that confuses me. Fusion produces no long-term radioactive waste and has a 0% chance of meltdown. While it does produce some amount of radioactive waste (stuff that is basically inert within 100 years), its main byproduct is actually helium. That's what makes the technology worth pursuing.

Think of all the balloons we can fill!

We're 78 years out, so whatever energy source we use will probably take on a form that we wouldn't recognize today. We're collectively reluctant to work towards nuclear energy (Chernobyl, Three Mile Island, and F***shima will have that effect, censored the Japanese plant for obvious reasons), and solar panels are somewhat limited by daylight and weather conditions. Whatever problems get solved first will become the front runner.
