I've never met a customer that ordered a pan pizza that didn't know the difference between pan and hand-tossed. At any store, ever, hand-tossed is the usual and normal thing. He was ordering an abnormality in this case.

I highly doubt it 'tasted like ass'. If that is the case, he'd have probably hated the food in general. And no, I didn't measure the size of the bites on the slice, he ate practically the entire slice of pizza. I'm sorry, but I personally don't take multiple bites of a pizza I hate. Or any food I hate, for that matter lmao.

And yeah, I refunded him. Being an annoying asshat won him the day, I guess.

But it wasnt a deal. A medium pan is worth more than a medium round. Extra dipping sauce aint shit. Yeah the dude is a douche, but ultimately its on TC, although I can tell hes cool as fuck.

If I received a different crust, I'd be entirely fine with it. My family would be fine with it. And if not, I'd take the credit first chance as that means I'd basically get a free meal later on.

The food tastes utterly the same, our cheese and sauce and the toppings are the important bits of a pizza. The crust is less so.

As I said, if he wanted to cancel the order entirely, I'd have done it. If he wanted something else, I'd have done what I could. I've had issues like this before.

Also I highly, highly, HIGHLY doubt he had to drive 20 minutes. We have Pizza Huts within 2 miles in any given direction. At most it was a 10 to 15 minute(that is pushing it) drive.

Yeah, I was understaffed and making sure the shift ran smoothly. I didn't really have a chance to call him back, I usually do. And if he expressed that he didn't want it, wanted a replacement, wanted to cancel, etc...I'd have 100% done it. No questions asked.

Again, I couldn't call otherwise I would have. I would not have given him a free pizza upfront and not have made him pay for it, not only would that have gotten me in trouble(giving out free food and not making people pay isn't advised), but I also offered him credit as well as the pizza when he FIRST complained.

There really isn't a huge difference between pan and hand-tossed, and I always explain how hand-tossed is a thinner crust. He opened the box and saw. There REALLY isn't a difference in taste, I assure you.

I do want to clarify though TC, that taking pictures in your store is a violation of your company's policies, not a violation of the law. So it wouldn't be illegal.

But causing a ruckus and refusing to leave is definitely something you can call the police for. Although people like that tend to leave before the police arrive.

BTW, I got transferred to my hometown for a job. I thought it was going to be hell dealing with people I grew up with. In the 2 years I was there I never saw a single person I really knew. And this was kind of a small town and involved dealing with the public. Still never saw a single one. So I wouldnt let that fear hold you back.

as far as the TN thing goes, that would have still been an income that most people couldn't even hope for, and there are a lot worse places people can be with less options.
