Like right field in YS being small causing shorter home runs or the green monster which robs what would be home runs and doubles in other stadiums. Early on they are extremely powerful and can make getting the character cards early on much more doable. With them + Ifrit you pretty much have a guaranteed lane to getting the Zell, Quistis, and Minimog card even if you don't really go for anything special for the last spot.The card troupe are all NPCs in the Gold Saucer who teach you how to play. Only King is somewhat hard if you don't have any good cards and they have the Bahamut card which is not that good compared to later cards. There's no actual quest line for it.
