The stuff about searching barren landscapes, helping randoms out in the middle of nowhere, building your own ziplines and shelters (that others can use), etc. was great. Even making deliveries wasn't THAT bad, once you got your stuff upgraded and build some networks to get around. It's mostly the timefall/erosion and BTs clotheslining you off your bikes stuff that got tiresome by the end. Oh, and no killing. Just find a lore-friendly reason why killing is good now. (Example: Heartman had a dream while he was temporarily dead about a blood bullet that travels through time to take enemies back into time and give them a good upbringing where they don't even want to be bandits.) I spent most of my time building up my settlements and getting supply lines going so they can be good, only to have these fucking Muppet raider groups want me toNuka-World has some fun stuff in it, but yeah, the "become a slaver/raider" angle probably didn't sit well with people who spent 100+ hours as an upstanding, righteous do-gooder. Honestly, I didn't mind the whole "enslave camps and get their stuff" angle as much as them gating it behind a bunch of quests first. Talk about a letdown. (On the flipside, after attempting to be Evily McEvil once, I didn't bother, since you have to build up those encampments to make them useful, THEN deliver the bad news about new management...which defeats the point. Plus, you can't build there once they're enslaved, IIRC, so that's doubly bland.) I do agree that, if you had to buy one DLC and ignore the rest, Far Harbor'd be it, though. Outside of some mist-induced FPS slowdown and a certain story mission involving cubes, it was pretty good overall. Still hamstrung by the game's weaker dialogue options, but overall, it was definitely more robust than the main campaign, which is something in its credit. It's really the main story and dialogue systems that tend to suck mightily.
