Learned a great trick to significantly speed up getting a full moon. Instead of waiting for the moon to be visible just have an Ursaring in your party. Wait till night and check if it can evolve, if it can then you have a full moon.

I'll hunt down rowlett and oshawott then get back to the legendary Pokemon and finish the plates. After that it's tracking down wisps since I purposely left some since there's no way to check how many is in an area after you grab them.

If you talk to the quest giver back in town she will tell you how many are left in each area.
