Life in prison includes being fed 3x a day, they have to be clothed, allowed access to a shower, and medically treated if something were to happen to them. Basic human rights. All that costs money. There are people who should be allowed that luxury. But there is a massive difference between them and mass murderers.

Death Row lasts years and is essentially the same as life in prison, only that instead of 25 years, its 18 and if still guilty at the end of that time your life is done. Your still getting human rights until that point. Plus you go to appeals, amongst other things and all that costs money.

We can have a whole discussion on the justice system at some point.

The emotional satisfaction of watching the wicked suffer is insufficient justification for killing someone.

except I wouldn't be watching them. Christ I had forgotten all about him until today when this topic was brought up. I'm just a firm believer if you commit the crime, then you get taken to court and they decide your fate. If its the kind of crime that's at the level of the bombing, and there is 0 percent doubt that you did it, then death penalty.

But that said, there is a massive issue with the death penalty as is. I think some people assume that the Death Penalty means that they schedule a date in the next month and that's it. That's far from the truth. The death penalty can take as long as 20 years to be enacted because of all the legalities surrounding it. There are literally inmates sentenced to death row that live close to full lives in prison.

Someone like the Vegas shooter had he survived would be able to live in jail for 18 years if the death penalty was enforced.

except he not only committed this atrocity but was implicated in a triple homicide a couple years prior. There is a big difference between someone illegally parking, and committing murder. Obviously there is a lot of tape to go around on how this type of ruling would be regulated, but one would think that if you go out of your way to try and kill thousands of people then that tape would be a lot less tight.

fingerling potatoes
spices
salt
pepper
garlic powder or minced garlic in a jar
cumin
paprika
chili spice
peanut oil for frying
flour tortillas for quick wraps
bulk chicken, beef and pork that you can portion and freeze

also, if your really lazy some stores, don't know about Krogers, sell frozen vegetables individually. So you could have bell peppers, onions, mushrooms (if you like them), etc which helps making quick foods.

TC has a roommate. I don't know how many of you have lived with roommates at any point (college, on your own, etc...) but they aren't exactly the greatest people on earth. The fact that I have to see a couple users wanting TC's roommate to suffer is a bit fucked up. Showing some backbone is not always going to solve everything. Best anyone can do is hide their food in their room. Fridge and freezer stuff is a gamble. I don't think a mini fridge will solve anything.

Speaking as someone who has gone through the roommate situation, it does. Having your food in a location that separate from the main living quarters means that there are less chances for someone to eat something that isn't theirs. Outside of your roommate, there are also his/her friends who might raid the fridge to eat something and they don't always ask who it belongs to.

Plus its nice to have a cold drink near your bed during the nights.

The human body really is an oddity. I had to get dental work a couple years ago and the dentist fixed a tooth that wasn't hurting and all the pain went away. He told me that some dental work can actually fix issues with pain in your back as some things are connected, which I definitely agree with.

Your body is like a machine. If parts are off, other parts are going to suffer.

This man has had roommates. Do this from DAY ONE. Do the same with your bathroom products.

I've had 3 roommates. 4 if you count my exroommates girlfriend who spent more time at our place than theirs. Not a comfortable living situation. They were great, but you try fitting a queen size bed into a bedroom the size of a shoebox.

One alternate solution and this works great if you have a car, is to use the trunk as a storage space. Course... you have to live in a safe location.

Don't buy the good shit then or alternately.... and I say this to everyone on this board, if your in a situation where you have roommates keep all your perishables in your bedroom in a place under lock and key. Hell, invest in a mini-fridge and put a 20 dollar lock on it that you only have the key to.

Once the food is cooked, put it in a safe container and bring it to your room immediately. Let it cool down on your dresser before putting it in the mini-fridge.

The biggest issue from using a Nuke aside from its initial drop zone is the area surrounding it. Nuking Ukraine I would think would affect all the countries surrounding it from just the winds dragging that stuff all over.

It honestly wouldn't surprise me if in 20-30 years Western Russia is broken down into a bunch of smaller countries, which makes Ukraine part of Central Europe, with Kazakhstan being Eastern Europe.

Sadly it won't matter much. Linus touched on it in a recent podcast, but Ukraine produces a significant portion of a metal that is used to make pc parts, so unless someone steps up to take that responsibility if Russia gains power over that territory, they can cut off shipping to the rest of the world entirely and horde it for themselves.

Meaning prices of computers are going to skyrocket again.

There's a little thing called NATO, which Ukraine happens to be a part of. It's specifically put in place so no country tries to invade other countries. IF Russia invades Ukraine, that's declaring war on every country that's a part of that alliance.

The sad part is, that Russia is also partnered with North Korea and China. While North Koreas forces are cattle driven, China has a super military of over 2 million alone, with the possibility to reinforce that military through forced engagement, and that could easily hit 4-5 hundred million.

I'm luckily to own my semi-detached home, but I fully plan on building a tiny home when I move out of province. My current place is a little over 700 square feet. No? How is this even a bit? Their breakfast meals are cheap and fast, and their burgers aren't actually that bad. And if you want to have hot fries, just ask for no salt on the fries as it forces them to cook it fresh (since they salt right after it comes out of the fryer). The only crap they have on the menu are the milkshakes, which have an off taste to them for some reason.

medium rare burgers are fucking delicious, but they're way more dangerous to eat then a medium rare steak. you should go for medium at least.

They are only dangerous if the meat is pre-ground. Steak Tartar exists you know.... Bacteria only affects the outside of the meat, which is why when you cook a steak, the flame or heat usually kills the bacteria on the outside of the meat. Any decent restaurant that grinds their own meat will usually have the meat in the freezer for 20-30 mins before grinding (so its easier to grind) so pretty much all the bacteria is already killed, and then after the patty is formed, they toss it back into the freezer to let is set before grilling. You could literally get it rare if you wanted to. Bacteria doesn't have time to form in a freshly ground patty.

5 dollar whisky is like drinking paint thinner. 100 dollar whisky is meant to be sipped and goes down much smoother, with hints of whatever it was aged in.

If we are comparing it to something else.... I'll use steak. You can buy a cheap steak, but you really have to work at it to make it taste decent and go down easy. Meanwhile, if you get a prime cut of meat, then you really only have to season it before cooking.

Might I suggest trying Whisky Sour? For someone like myself who doesn't really enjoy Whiskey all that much (mostly because I'm cheap), its usually my go to drink if I'm at a family gathering at a restaurant or bar. A slight sour taste, but really pleasant to drink and it looks somewhat sophisticated.

I would be careful with that. If you don't strike with conviction and they overpower you, you're gonna get flayed open with that razor.

If you're in a life or death situation it would be better to get licensed and get the gun.

Whats worse? Being fired or being curbstommped to death by some wacko?

speaking as a former security guard myself of 9 years, its a tricky situation to be in. Because there have been issues in the past about what rights unarmed security guards have and what rights they don't have. Essentially, at least in my area we were nothing more than paid civilians. Not allowed to carry weapons, no pepper spray, we weren't even given cell phones.

Unarmed security are pretty much at a position to deter not arrest or detain. We were specifically told that if anything happened to call the cops and let them deal with it. To avoid conflict at all cost. That said, the cops where I lived weren't good at their jobs. I was working one night and 4 people started popping open car hoods and stealing batteries, taking hub caps, anything they could get their hands on. Had their faces, what they were wearing, where they came from and where they went to all on camera. Clear images of all. Cops pretty much told me "there is nothing we can do, for all you know someone could have asked them to do that". I mean come on... 7 cars get broken into and there's nothing you can do about it? I certainly wasn't going to go get my ass handed to me.

It's a job that is as thankless as working retail.
