The most memorable reactions were from a father and his two kids behind us. At the point when Doc Ock attacked the bridge the dad asked "what movie did you say this was again?" But that being said, the last couple of weeks have really hit me hard. No particular reason, but I've been struggling a lot again. Edit: I know you're trying to be supportive and encouraging, but most of the op just kind of made me feel bad again. Those aren't things someone like me can do. Its just another reminder of what my life is missing. OVERGOATED posted... Yeah kinda. One of my online buddies past away this morning. Started messaging her and sending her dirty photos and asking to hook up. She just forwarded the messages to my mom(parents are still married) and said for us to leave her alone. I would just assume he was trying to cheat, except the timing is extremely suspicious. And him sleeping with someone I liked is precisely the kind of thing he would do to prove he's better than me. | KogaSteelfang 02/20/22 11:30:03 AM #10 | Not exactly swept under the rug, but more deliberate sabotage to save face/money. The head maintenance worker at our hotel fell off a ladder. It wasn't a big far, just maybe 4 feet or so, but the way she landed really messed her shoulder up It was dislocated and broken. Since it happened on the job she was supposed to get worker's compensation. But she had to use very specific doctors chosen by corporate. Those doctors refused to schedule any appointments. Finally after a month she gets to the doctor, and he tells her the obvious, that she can't use it any more and tells her she can't do maintenance work. He approves the compensation, but corporate still tried to reject it. So she had to come back to work just as a supervisor. That's when the manager kept trying to force her to do physical jobs against doctor's orders. He was just trying to get her to do something so he could invalidate her claim for compensation to please his corporate lord's. Anyways, it ended up with her needing her entire shoulder surgically rebuilt 6 months later. She may never regain full use of her arm. --- Work in progress, please be patient. |

After a year of not being able of finding anything else, I was told that they were asking about me and if I wanted to come back. I reluctantly went back, and thankfully it almost entirely new workers. Still, my interview was kind of awkward. When they asked about my last job, "it was here, actually." Then they asked why I asked why I quit. So I just told the truth, that I got angry and walked out. They still hired me on the spot. Now I'm considered one of the best workers. But things changed and I want to quit again after 3 years. --- Work in progress, please be patient. |

Which kind of sucks. There's a newer coworker who is very obviously struggling mentally. She seems in the verge of a breakdown every night. I try to listen and support her any way I can, but she always gives me the "You don't know what it's like!" response... Yes, yes I do. She seems to think that her abusive husband is unique and that no one else could ever understand feeling trapped. When the next shift came in they could sense something was wrong and asked me about it. I told them it had just been a rough night, which was just made worse by my depression and social anxiety. "Oh please, that's nothing like what I have to deal with! I'm on Thyroid medication! You think I want to be here when I feel bad!?" Then the other one chimed in "Thyroid? Shoot, that's nothing. He said anxiety. But his isn't anything like MINE is. I was on medication for it for a while. If I can get over it, so can you guys!" Then the first one responded "Hah! You think I don't get anxious!? Sometimes I get so frustrated over things and take it out anyone whose near me. If anyone has Anxiety issues it's ME!!!"
