I was 155 from high school through to 30. Then I met my wife, she got me to start working out again and actually eat meals with regularity and my weight bounced to 175. Now I mostly run and I'm back to 162 or so on average.

I don't agree with her opinion, but I do think PO is right that those two facts actually lend some credibility to her opinion that I think is stupid. If we aren't listening to women who have been in this position who do we listen to? Just because you don't agree with her doesn't mean her experience should be ignored.

After the middling reviews I've been waiting for a decent sale because I assumed it would have to go on sale early. So far I've been wrong and haven't really seen it under $40 on PS5. I'll still wait it out and hopefully it'll be something I have some fun with.

My wife is more successful than me. She makes about double what I do, but I at least carry the insurance with zero premium and have a hell of a lot better employer provided retirement.

Who cares who's making what though as long as we are both helping around the house and with the girls?

The guiltiest pleasure game I can think of is some idle games. I used to love seeing numbers get bigger in Adventure Capitalist. Can't explain why I liked it, but for some reason it was definitely addictive.

My wife and 9 year old are big fans of those.

And traffickers would definitely use metadata to find what beach I'm on in Michigan to then try and steal a baby from a cottage with (on average) 6 adults, 5 kids, a 100+ pound dog, and no easy way to approach without being seen.

She's recovered just fine and never showed any symptoms really which made it nice to not have a sick baby while we stayed home with her during the daycare shut down. Viv got to enjoy the warm Memorial Day weekend up in the thumb on the beach of Lake Huron.

I've got close to a dozen cylinders like that about 25 yards from my office in a couple of directions. Only a few of mine are oxygen; the rest are acetylene, argon, and argon/oxygen mix. That trailer doesn't look too bad at all.

I think it'd just be best to track your own use of PTO and try and make sure you're still using it similarly to before. Adds a little homework to yourself, but the reason companies are going this way is that people feel guilty about using it and worry they will be perceived as taking advantage.

PO touched on my thoughts for the most part. We've got people in supervisory positions that worked their way up from laborer positions. They were great in the field and understand how to get that work done, but have absolutely no skills in management and don't seem to fully understand what job they're supposed to be accomplishing on a daily basis. This has led to them either micromanaging or spending time coming up with ideas and implementing them while ignoring the input of other people who work under them. Generally these ideas are quickly scrapped and they go back to coming up with more shit ideas.

Vivian was fine. Never showed any signs of symptoms, but she did pass that shit along to me and it hit me a bit harder.

Not all Men's Rights folks are horrible people.
Most of them are just normal every day people who just want equal treatment from the society after getting the short end of the stick so many times in their lives.

I mean shit like equal child custody and equal funding for screening and research for prostate and testicular cancer.

And men's mental health issues that pretty much no one wants to deal with because "all men are strong enough to fix that on their own".

You haven't gotten the short end of the stick because you're a man.

Also, equal child custody is a pretty regular thing so long as one of the parents isn't a documented piece of shit. All of the divorced parents I know share equal custody of their children. Even in the case of my wife and her ex, he's got equal custody despite not having a job for the past 4 years and not holding a full time job for the past decade.

As for men's mental health, the US' culture has changed significantly. Still improvements to be made, but that's true of mental health care in general. I work with men that labor all day and don't ever hear someone shit talking about someone who's in therapy or dealing with their mental health issues.

That's anecdotal obviously, but I think your worries about men's rights are off and you're blind to the fact that men are generally at an advantage over women in many avenues of life. Much more so than any perceived disadvantages we may have to deal with.

At least the rest of us are still negative despite her literally sneezing into my mouth.

We've got landscaping positions starting at $15/hour with little to no experience required. 29 hours a week. Based on the level of competency a lot of our seasonal staff displays I'm pretty sure the only requirement is a heartbeat...

If you don't get the account drunk at least get it high. Head to the dispensary and grab some herb and edibles. Maybe a pre rolled joint too.

When I think of a posting gimmick I think of duckbear's news posts, dr.claeys "friends" thing, Aculo/ClarkDuke's "ok?" thing.

I'll stick with both.

It depends a little bit. If I'm picking up a pizza or something like that then I don't tip. If I'm going to a real restaurant and grabbing a good meal, I'll tip.

I didn't do take out often prior to the pandemic and when take out became a really common thing during the pandemic I started tipping because I was glad it was possible to get a good meal without having to cook and I know that the staff in our country isn't paid a living wage without a tip.

I think it's stupid that they don't get paid well, but I'm not about to lecture a 20 year old about how dumb it is. I'm going to tip because I'm not a prick.

God damn, that's a hell of a step up in pay. Good work!

For the most part I cut out the fat and leave it on the plate. I guess bacon is quite a bit of fat though, so pork would have to be the choice.
