Japanese beers I've tried like Orion and Kirin have been smooth. no strong taste. light carbonation. almost taste like water, but not in a bad way. If you want to try a cool Japanese beer, try Strong Zero. tasty and doesn't taste anything like alcohol despite being 9%. can wreck you with a can or 2.

i will have to check out a bunch of liquor stores to find this, and if not i might have to import it somehow if i can do that?

i love belgian tripels and this sounds like a japanese version of them... and i love japan...

It's an order of sake with an order of Japanese beer. You can drink them separately (and I sometimes do) but the 'bomb' is taking the filled sake cup and dropping it into your beer glass.

If you want to make a spectacle of it, you lay your chopsticks across the top of the beer glass just close enough to hold the sake cup up above it, then pound the table so the cup drops into the glass that way.

ah i see, ill try that this friday! me and my friends are going to get sushi and i always get a beer and an order of hot sake with my sushi. ill try mixing them. maybe i should get cold sake for this though?

ive experienced it with some canadian cheap beers like caribou. then again ive never had caribou in a bottle, so maybe thats just how caribou tastes. im a zoomer though, so im not talking about some old timey stuff that got changed

i'll definitely admit i first tried it because i'm an incorrigible fucking weeb. but man this stuff is good. 100% malt, made with only hops, barley and water. it doesnt have that sickly sweet taste the other cheaper beers ive tried had, and the cans dont have a metallic taste either. goes down really nicely, its not a strong taste but its delicious. its so *drinkable* in the best way. like it tastes like a solid beer but without feeling like a chore to have more than one the way the ipas and stouts and such ive tried do. its great. and the art on the label looks great too

He's not sleeping much and coming to terms with a medical issue. Give him some slack on if he's a little short with you. There probably is some minor irritation but it's just magnified because he's dealing with everything else.

Anyway, iirc he'll most likely be on blood thinners as a fix which all things considered isn't too awful

I had an internet friend that died once. It was pretty shitty. I'd never met her, she was a GM of a casual guild I was in outside of my raiding guild in WoW, a guild full of people that wouldn't ever see the inside of a raid otherwise, moreso her, so I at least go to carry her and the casual guildies through Firelands and Dragon Soul before she died. I'd known her for like... 10+ years.

ive known him for a while.. like 5 years at this point, weve been through some rough shit together. he knows of my lowest points, and i of his. we talk a ton, we watch anime and movies together, play games together, etc. id honestly say hes my best friend, and i think he would say the same. i really hope that someday we can hang out irl.

about 3 weeks ago, he was complaining about vertigo, and then he ended up getting drunk (he rarely drinks) and the next morning he was talking about how his blood feels fucked up. for the next like 2 days, he was talking about how he couldnt sleep and had extreme vertigo and all this stuff. hes american, quit his job recently, doesnt have health insurance or any family except for a brother. so he really does his best to avoid the medical industry, hes often grimly joked about "if i get really sick, i will just roll over and let it do its thing because i cant afford it", but he ended up going to the hospital. he got home after a day, turns out he has atrial fibrilation which can cause strokes.

turns out he couldnt sleep because he almost died and as a response his brain pumped a ton of adrenaline that kept him up for 50 hours. he had blood taken and a bunch of scans done. he seemed pretty normal, was joking around about how the nurse took blood in both his arms which he was pretty sure was not what youre supposed to do, but she was so sassy he didnt say ask about it, and about how america is a ponzi scheme. then the next night he was having bad vertigo again, and talked about vision problems. he insisted that the issue wasnt his eyes, he was very sure that his eyes were working fine, and it was a problem with his brain not being able to comprehend things he was looking at.

then 3 days ago i asked him if he wanted to play everquest with me, and he said "please stop telling me to play shit i can barely even stand up i think ima go to urgent care tomorrow id rather just die or recover its nightmarish being stuck in limbo its been 7 fucking days and i still cant function normally" and that was the last thing he said. really hope our last interaction wasnt me annoying him.

No, he's even stronger when he has literally no eyes and some other dudes skin grafted to his chest. He's him until kaguya and after. And he gets stronger fast. Being revived doesn't make someone just not themselves anymore. Nor does them stealing from others or gaining additional outside power.

hi acemos idk if you remember me but we watched kill la kill together, was a nice memory

ive always liked mmos in theory. a video game world with a bunch of other people to socialize and get stronger with. a big world to explore. but in practice i just end up getting frustrated by how railroaded they are to reaching end game so you can raid [the real game starts at max level, etc]. i dont really find raiding all that appealing. all my fond memories of wow are of leveling in dead cataclysm/wrath/pandaria zones with an irl friend of mine.

ive had classic everquest [project 1999 private server] on my radar for years now, but it wasnt until today i dove in.

this game really feels very alive and soulful. social interaction is pretty much necessary. there is no auction house or queues. people playing buffing classes go around buffing others expecting nothing in return except maybe a thank you. end game is irrelevant, there basically is no end game. its all about the journey in this beautiful [not graphically, because again, the game is from 1999, but artistically] world. i feel so nostalgic playing this even though im a zoomer.

i rolled a human monk because i like martial arts and the idea of my role in a group being the one who pulls mobs to the group is appealing to me.

I think it might have something to do with people not really having much respect for the dead anymore. Traditionally, a big reason necromancy is such a diabolical sin is because you're disrespecting the spirit and messing with their afterlife by abusing their corpse. People don't really believe in spirits anymore. A corpse is just a corpse now. A bag of bones and flesh. Like, doctors used to get a ton of hatred and vitriol for vivisection, now nobody gives a fuck. Organ donation is not only considered normal but a positive thing that people should be encouraged to do.

ive never really drank shitty beer because im a zoomer and all my peers despise beer. so if im having beer its because i bought it myself and i like to get good stuff. or at least stuff i like. one of my favourite beers is kirin ichiban. its not fancy i guess, but it goes down so smooth. i also like trappist beers a lot

my dad got some fancy cane sugar cherry local soda and he gave me a bottle so i will mix with that maybe. although i will feel a lil guilty about ruining good soda with cheap vodka
