not gonna go into too much detail but just had way too many insecurities and low self-esteem to listen to music (largely because my older siblings didnt listen to it), but I always enjoyed it, but didnt actively pursue or listen to it

I like pretty much all of the genres, but I definitely prefer rap, hip hop, and edm. I really liked lil wayne back in the high school days

my friend also added that because I didnt listen to a lot of it growing up, I can experience the joys of music that a lot of other people crave for in their middle age

Some, not all. The prevailing trait in those that succeeded was seeking treatment and being willing to actually find something of value in the world. Some, for instance, took the long road after becoming alcoholics and volunteered at organizations like AA. They discovered that helping others with similar problems actually helped them.

The key is just finding that something that resonates with you, it doesn't have to be volunteering, it could be art, storytelling, whatever. A lot of people with depression are not only afflicted by conditions like anhedonia, but they have put blinders on to the world and it can become difficult to take them off (bad habits die hard). Which is why anti-depressants usually are recommended to go along with behavioral therapy.

Ultimately, we all have to accept that it is up to us to find value in this life, and the answers to what is valuable will differ for everyone and many may not even know what that something is, but in my humble opinion that just means they should keep looking.

Put an emphasis on flying. Like maybe you could fly through rings on the way to people in trouble. And maybe add some sort of kryptonite angle to the story to make him weaker. Could be in the form of fog to explain the lack of X-ray vision.

Sounds like you are depressed. Probably should get some help with that.

I've known a couple people who tried to stave off depression by pushing harder on their studies and work and when they finally hit that point where they had achieved what they set out to achieve they slammed down hard. At that point most of them tried to stem it off with drugs and alcohol. It never works.

Might want to try looking into hobbies and things that are meaningful to you and actually do them, as anyone who says there life is over at 35 is clearly having some trouble in the meaningful activities department. Again if anhedonia is preventing you from doing that, seek out help for depression.

damn that's what happened to me. Got into an elite college, got a FANG tier job as an engineer, and made an assload amount of money. Extremely depressed. Going to start seeing therapy soon.

Were your friends able to get out of it?

I've been on Prozac since the 90s. I think it does help, though after many years, I feel it's not as effective as it used to be. I've had to have my dosage upped multiple times over the years

were you able to have motivation to do things and have positive thoughts?

all I have are negative thoughts and crippling reminders of the past constantly flooding my brain at all times. I don't think I can manage this anymore

The concept of trying to pretend to fit in with society. Like making eye contact regularly, not fidgeting to keep my thoughts straight, using shorter sentences instead of sounding like I'm reading a novel when speaking etc

It gets a little out of hand near the end, but Shippuden's execution of the story is so beautiful so often that it's really worth a watch. Even if you watch it only for the music, the excellent voice acting (even the dub is really strong if you're into that), and the animation of the major fights.

The final arc is guilty of being like two layers too deep with mastermind villain plotting, but it's still a lot of fun to watch.

Yah Ill check out the dub. The part 1 dub was great

If you use a filler guide, Shippuden is well worth the watch. Some of the filler is even really good.

Honestly the only downside of the Blue Bird opening is that the visuals are heavily based on a filler arc--that's really the only reason it isn't my favorite 100%.

That's the same reason why I don't like the Rock the Dragon intro lol. They only used scenes from the first 3 movies. I'll give shippuden a watch, but I do know what happens by reading plot summaries, and I thought the ending was a clusterfuck; but it should still be good.
