Zoomers and kids discovered it and decided they should become trolls for nonexistent social media clout; one group manipulating him into doing all kinds of horrible things. That's not to say it absolves Chris of being an awful person, but they were clearly taking advantage of his declining mental state and encouraging him to use his delusions as a crutch. After a certain point it became obvious he's doing it to collect Patreon money and saying nothing of interest except for reading every single social media post Chris ever made in the same monotone voice. |

There's the obvious element of fashion, but there's comedy/improv, dancing, lip syncing, and similar to wrestling, specific "moves" done during live shows meant to make the crowd lose their shit. Some drag queens don't even go with the musical angle and focus primarily on things like insult comedy. |
