Well for one going to the ER doesnt cause bankruptcy. You have to already be in financial trouble for that to happen. I know this because I went to ER back in 2020 when I tore my Achilles and they charged me about $500 for some crutches and to wrap my foot up.

The American health care system is broken, the American retirement system is awful, disability insurance is bad, maternity leave, and more. It also doesnt help that the rich and wealthy gets all the benefits in the USA from healthcare, to politicians, to influencing people of power to get what they want
