Let the successful delivery activate the tip, but give the user a way to update/remove the tip if they received poor service. This is a good idea, but we also had assholes bait and switching with tips early on. Customers would offer a huge tip so their order would get delivered quickly (Almost like a bribe...), and then they would change the tip to be much lower at the last minute. Naysaspace posted... The company may take as much as 10-25% of the order total for themselves when the order is placed. So that order may only result in a revenue of $60-72 to the restaurant that accepted the order depending on the agreed upon percentage rate. Oh right, forgot that two companies are involved rather than just the main store itself. Even curbside ordering involved extra fees, fees that not everyone can afford. Especially when a lot of people were unemployed because of the pandemic. Absolutely none of those fees go to the little guys.
