Honestly asking. I live in Massachusetts. It's one of the most blue states there is. What could I theoretically vote for that would make an impact? How can I do anything that could cause a modicum of change on gun control or the rights to abortion? I always shrug off voting since I feel like my vote personally does not matter when it comes to these larger scale issues.

Your vote has an impact in primaries and local races, many of which can have an impact to bigger elections in the long run. You would NOT want a MAGA candidate to win any local positions just so they can help prop up the big lie and further erode state laws to bend to their whims.

I will never forgive the politicians who fought tooth and nail in obstructing the policies needed to prevent incidents like this from ever happening.

I am beyond livid by these politicians who worship the gun industry while doing nothing to save actual living children.

Laziness and apathy will be the end of democracy. I'm convinced that voting should have been made mandatory from the beginning like in Australia.

Republicans won't do anything to stop school shootings from happening, and the Democratic establishment is too spineless to stand up to them all because they lack enough progressives needed to make change possible. The way I see it, the only way to make things better is if more people voted against the GOP as if their lives depend on it. We cannot keep on letting this tragedy happen over and over all because the loud minority wants to keep their gun collection.

The Liberal Party in Australia is a slightly watered-down version of America's GOP only with more emphasis on incompetence. Meanwhile, the Labor Party is roughly the equivalent of the Democrats.

Wow, what a horrid thing to do. Can you imagine what could happen if other evil-minded individuals were to pull this off more successfully?

Conservatives are gaining more and more influence these days, and it's due to their heavy investments on media outlets, think tanks, troll farms, etc. This has been going on for decades now and their efforts are about to bear fruit. They even have the infrastructure needed to both develop and install judges to alter the country's political agenda to their favor. We have seen how devastating this strategy can be in setting the country back.

Meanwhile, leftists are struggling with a system that continues to work against them. Why is it hard for leftists to fight fire with fire? Even if they know they're 100% in the right, it won't amount to much if the rest of the country is too gullible for their own good. And if the majority of citizens are not going to stop being gullible, does it not stand to reason that perhaps leftists should use the far right's soft tactics to manipulate people into following a better political direction?

There is no such thing as fairness anymore. Unlike centrists, a lot of leftists already know how subtly rigged the system is to the far right's benefit. While the left should not stop using protests to demand for change, they also need to expand their repertoire of tactics, preferably those that can match of exceed the far right in terms of sneakiness. For instance, we need leftists brave enough to infiltrate the GOP and make subtle changes that benefit the people once they rise to power. Also, there needs to be a leftist version of the Federalist Society so that the next generation of judges won't be monopolized by the far right.
