Thanks for the response, @Esrac . Do you find yourself automating a lot of battles or do you play most of them?

If I have reinforcements, I'll usually let the AI control them while I control the main army.

I usually play the battle, because I can usually do it with fewer losses than the computer.

It might be due to the Empire's playstyle.

I'm not sure about all the other races, but I've generally heard the Empire described as a balanced, jack of all trades faction. And I can see it. They don't have the best infantry, cavalry, ranged units, artillery, etc.

So, their gameplay doesn't generally involve spamming a single type of very strong unit. They need to employ a combination of various unit types. So, I'll usually be managing rocket artillery, mounted gunners and cavalry, a wall of infantry, cavalry, etc in a fight. Not to mention the various hero units, like wizards, priests, and legendary lords.

I've been playing my first playthrough of Mortal Empires campaign as the Empire and I can kind of see that.

I wouldn't say it feels tedious yet, but the late game is a lot less tense than the early game.

At first, I had one army struggling to police every side of my borders against Greenskins, Norsca, Beastmen, and rival elector counts. If I tried to expand to the west, sure enough some orks would raze my territory from the south. If I tried to fend off a rival faction in the east, Beastmen would raid me from the north. And I did not yet have the economy to support multiple armies.

Now in the late game, I have half a dozen full armies and agents. I've confederated almost all the imperial factions, allied with the Dwarfs and Bretons to wipe out nearby orks, and I've purged the Vampire Counts. Things are a lot more comfortable than they were earlier.

I still have to deal with raiding groups from Norsca, Beastmen, and Warriors of Chaos. Now that we both aren't fighting Vampire Counts, relations with the Wood Elves are getting even more unfriendly.

I haven't had to deal with the Dark Elves, because Bretonnia is a large buffer between us, but we aren't friendly. Lizard Men are too far away to worry about. I still haven't found the High Elves or Tomb Kings.

Dwarfs and Bretonnia are my bros though.

Maybe he is seething a bit, but to say he's having a screaming meltdown is an exaggeration.

That makes me suspicious that they're getting the cards second-hand

I dont really watch Dave Chapelle, but sounds good.

Apparently one of them said Asians were white supremacist and racist toward black people.

And they wanted to strip the names of people like George Washington and Abraham Lincoln from the schools.

It is funny that they did the thing progressives always do when people who are a little less progressive than them take issue: qccuse them of being Republicans/Conservatives, etc.

So, this sounds good to me.

I'm considering it being Persona's 25th and the recent Persona related videos they've been posting. Could be nothing, but I'd be a little surprised if Arena Ultimax is the only thing they were going to put out.

Not everything. Atlus West has been posting Persona videos and link to Atlus.com/persona25th.

I've been assuming the have a Persona announcement, since they've been posting the Persona opening movies on their YouTube channel for the past few weeks.

Is that why we haven't seen her in movies lately? Not the fat funny girl anymore?

She was introduced at the very, very end of a 10 year story arc with minimal investment in the consequences. She felt more like a plot device than a character in Endgame (How we do we rescue Iron Man and Nebula? How do we destroy Thanos' ship? "Idk just throw Captain Marvel in there"). Plus, her actress just wasn't very good at selling the character, in my opinion. Casting is everything for these movies, and Captain Marvel was poorly cast.

If she had been introduced maybe 3-4 years earlier in the story line, and if she had been played by a better actress, and if she had been given better dialogue, maybe people would have liked her as much as they like Gamora, Scarlet Witch, Black Widow, Nebula, etc.

The problem isn't Captain Marvel's gender, and it never was--the problem is that the character was poorly introduced and badly handled.

Curiously, the complaint i usually hear about Captain Marvem in the MCU is that she's too strong for the cinematic universe. So, she is uninteresting because she never struggles.

Her single-handedly destroying Thanos' warship and no-selling a headbutt from Thanos like it was nothing is a frequent example. Especially when Thanos whipped Hulk's ass with barely breaking a sweat and had the upper hand on Thor.

Its like putting a character in the movie with her comic book-level power when all the other characters have been toned down for the movie universe, so she feels out of place.

I wouldn't agree with that assessment.

Really powerful female characters have never really been an issue, though some might complain if she shows up just to Mary Sue-style all over everyone, just to disappear from the story.

What jumps immediately to my mind is Kill La Kill. Its largely just a good Shonen action anime with cool fights. And all strongest characters and all girls/women. Satsuki, Ryuko, Nui Harime, and Ragyo.

But I dont recall guys online raging about it.

Sailor Moon also has all the powerful characters being girls/women, but I dont really follow it.

Sounds like he was schizophrenic or something.

What the hell I don't see an option for being a paladin, two of the races are locked out, and it won't let me create a character on Gilgamesh

If it won't let you create a character, it means the server is full. If you keep selecting and backing out, you'll probably get in eventually.

I had to spend a half hour doing just that to start a character on Leviathan.

For some reason, the games has Classes for the ARR content. Each of them upgrades to a Job at level 30 and a certain degree of progress through the main story.

Gladiator > Paladin
Lancer > Dragoon
Thaumaurge > Black Mage
Conjuror > White Mage
Pugilist > Monk
Rogue > Ninja
Archer > Bard
Arcanist > Scholar and Summoner

The expansion jobs don't have that restriction.

I am surprised the queue is still so long almost two months after the expansion came out.

If I can't log in before 4 PM my time. Then I dont bother. Can't be asked to sit in a 2000+ long queue.
