Does your employer match a certain % of your contribution? My employer matches up to 5%.

I've always been a good cook, but up until recently I've rarely had the motivation to cook really nice meals. Mostly let my gf cook for my son and I. But I bought an Anova sous vide cooker and a really nice grill about 2 months ago and now I really enjoy cooking nice meals every day. It's a lot of fun.

The unemployed have to renew weekly.

For what? SNAP? I don't think that's true.

For unemployment.

For SNAP, as I've said in a previous post, you have to complete a 6 month renewal (which could adjust your benefits if there are any changes to your living situation or household) and you must complete an annual recertification after your year is up. Renewing weekly for SNAP is insane. Even for cash assistance that's nuts.

2. The continuance of benefits beyond the point where people are qualified for having them. Food Stamps accounts should be reviewed every four to six months to determine if the person is still qualified to receive them. If they are seen to not be straight qualified, then a hearing could be set where the person can make a case for why they need them still. The additional manpower for this should be offset far more by the savings the program attains through trimming the abusers out.

Monthly renewal process would handle this just as well.

Monthly renewals aren't realistic. It would be too much paperwork, the state would have to hire many more workers to handle it all.

I am fine with Food Stamps as an idea. The current implementation is garbage. Let me break down the primary issues I have with it:

1. The usage of Food Stamps for things that are not food. This includes candy, soda, sugary pastries and ice cream. These are all nutritionally void, and shouldn't be even classed as food, period.

If just those two things are done, the program would work so much better for the purposes it is supposed to.

SNAP recipients need to complete 6 month reviews and annual recertifications to determine their eligibility and benefit amount. Nobody gets benefits indefinitely.

God no. I don't even like seeing those terms online. I would hate to see them cross over into casual face to face conversations.

Can we throw some of these lols at that thot who crawled from his deathbed to the Senate to vote on opening yet another round of repeal and replace brainstorming.

You're doing great sweeties, hang in there.

Nah. By letting it go to a vote and then shutting it down the way he did, they now need 60 votes to try again. McCain stomping Trump at his own 5D chess game.

Do you think that was intentional or would that be giving McCain too much credit?

It is an option, but i believe that a small number of people qualify for this...for whatever reason the cash benefits are used i'm not sure.

I think it is largely used for people on TANF

Yup, TANF is the cash program for families who have an eligible child on the case. The program is called MFIP here in Minnesota. There is also General Assistance, which is a small cash supplement for single adults who can't work but don't qualify for social security. There are a couple of other cash programs here in MN, but other states may be different.

Tint violation
60 in a 50 (in a Special Zone so it cost me a little extra)
66 in a 55 (got the ticket thrown out in court)

I've received a few written warnings in addition to the actual tickets.
